My first Maison Alhambra
The Dark Aoud, also called Woody oud at the time, was my first Maison alhambra fragrance. It was also generally only my second dupe. When I smelled this fragrance, I was extremely pleasantly surprised. I didn't know the original yet and was immediately in love. This woody, elegant, spicy but at the same time gentle scent convinced me immediately. I only smelled the original a few months later and then came the second surprise. I couldn't really distinguish maison alhambra from the original. Of course, my nose wasn't as trained back then, but I still can't tell the difference. In addition, it has to be said that the fragrance gets better over time when it is stored, becoming even more interesting and pleasant. After this fragrance, many other Maison alhambra fragrances followed and a few were even better, especially in terms of longevity, but to this day Dark aoud is one of the best of the brand. As I said before, there are definitely other fragrances with better longevity. I find that it hasn't really gotten stronger over time and I also spray at least 8 times, which is enough to smell perceptible for the next 4 hours. However, you have to accept this durability because the fragrance is woody/oud but also very pleasant and not so strong in smell. In addition, as far as I know, there is no alternative which has a better durability for such a price
