Easy to wear - too familiar

It’s a decent scent profile with a boozy vanilla, mixed with a resinous benzoin and very light easy to wear oud. The combination is essentially an easy to wear oud with a slightly too familiar resinous vanilla that reminds me of the vanilla ozium air freshener. nnIt’s not a bad scent, but after associating the scent with the vanilla ozium car freshener spray, I just can’t see wearing it without feeling like I’m trying to mask the smell of something.

Starts great, but ends up not being for me

Sceptre Oceana starts exactly as I wish: soft, creamy, and almost soothing. The Bourbon vanilla immediately settles pleasantly on the skin, warm, slightly sweet, but not sticky. In the first few minutes, everything feels rounded, harmonious, and really cozy - almost a scent I want to immerse myself in.
The Siam benzoin in the heart also supports this feeling. It gives the whole thing a balsamic depth, a bit of resin, a bit of warmth - it has character and feels high-quality. I really thought for a moment: This could be something special.
But then comes the drydown. And with it, the oud. At first, it sneaks in cautiously, but the longer the scent stays on my skin, the more dominant it becomes. For oud lovers, this may be the exciting moment - for me, unfortunately, the mood shifts here. The oud increasingly feels dark, slightly medicinal, and takes away the softness of the beautiful vanilla. The balance is lost, and I find myself wishing for the beginning back.
Longevity is definitely strong, projection is also solid - the scent remains present. Unfortunately, it develops in the wrong direction for my taste.
In summary: A beautiful start with a disappointing finale.
