Toro Maison Alhambra

I tried this based on YouTube video when I first started buying fragrances. I don't have TDH but I can tell you that this is the best bang for buck addictive scent. I don't know of anything this cheap that has this quality. I have to from time to time pull the cap and smell it even if I'm not wearing it just because I love the smell so much. The only reason I don't wear it everyday is I went a little overboard buying fragrances and trying to get some use out of my collection before I die :)

I've had this now for roughly 6 months, and I'm about half way through the bottle. It's around an 85% likeness in my opinion. It smells exactly the same from first spray right through to the dry down, unlike Hermes which evolves throughout. It also doesn't project/last as long. In saying that, I picked it up for like €10 so I just overspray lol. So, if you're looking for a Hermes dupe and don't want to break the bank, go for it. Is it as good? No, but that doesn't mean it's bad either, it's a fraction of the price and you do get a pretty decent likeness of Hermes here.

Screechy/sharp limonene-heavy open with slight pepper and woody notes and weak performance. Makes me think of another Maison Alhambra, Jubilant Vitality , which is not a compliment. Gonna sit on this one and see if it improves at all in time, but what I have now is pretty disappointing. There are many good options from this house, but as of this review, my bottle of Toro isn't one of them.

There isn't a lot that's going on here, or if there is, it's all buried under that chemical lemon sting I've smelled the first 3 times I've tried it. I make my own soda at home, and this just smells almost entirely like the 5x lemon essential oil concentrate I use for making flavor concentrates. It is vastly inferior to the original it's claiming to ape, one which I can get wholesale for under $70 as of this review. Fattan pour Homme is a far more faithful cost-conscious dupe of Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette , if you can find it at non-inflated prices. If you really like the Hermes , I would keep my eye out for a decently priced Fattan or save up to buy the original from a reputable wholesaler.

As much as I hate to be this overtly critical about a fragrance, it's warranted here.

I simply love this frangrance. Althought I haven't had the opportunity to smell Terre d' Hermès EDT, I can confidently say that, as a 50-year-old man from Brazil (tropical weather) who works in a corporate enviroment and enjoy daytime activities on weekends, this perfume makes me feel fantastic.

The freshnes remais present through much of its evolution and it never becomes heavy or overwhelming. To my nose, the grapefruit is the true star of the composition-bright, citrusy, energetic and incredibly refreshing. As it develops, the fragrance transition into a clean, aromatic, and slightly green character that feels refined and effotless.

The dry down is where it truly shines, becoming dry, earthy, and elegant without losing its freshness. It's a sophisticated scent that feels perfectly suited for the office, yet equally enjoyable for relaxed daytime outings. A versatile and confidence-boosting fragrance that i genuinely enjoy wearing.

After I couldn't test a popular fragrance from the messenger of the gods in any drugstore/perfumery even on my fourth attempt, I spontaneously decided to include this alternative scent in a perfume order. At that price, you don't really mind if it doesn't suit you. Of the three fragrances I ordered, Toro pour Homme was indeed the most striking. I was completely taken aback by the intense citrus-orange note. It was quite biting, penetrating, natural, and fascinating all at once. After an hour, the aromatic scents wrap around the citrus and soften it a bit. What remains is a rather unique fragrance that I will wear more often in the summer.
- Longevity is exceptionally long for a citrus scent
- Sillage in the first few minutes is very penetrating, but then becomes great.
- The bottle is not very exciting, points off for the cap, which is not secure. Potential risk of falling!
