Mango and the Sea

Upon spraying this I was hit with an *intense* burst of some sort of lemon-lime, a whole wind of it. In about an hour or two, this burst of lemon and ginger fizz recedes a bit to reveal a core of mango, set against a backdrop of sea breeze. As I'm speaking, it's been on my skin for about four hours, and I'm not getting anything in the way of moss, just the mango core and that marine note.

Pleasant and long-lasting, but you have to really love lemon to get through that 1-2 hour block of it. Limonata is strongly reminiscent of MOAPC's Tales from Zanzibar, as I'm smelling the former on my left arm and the latter on a tester strip. Limonata is Tales from Zanzibar but less green (the latter features guava and mint) and more hesperidic.

Synthetic fruit juice

Really don't get the hype for this one. Smells like a scented candle or room spray that's a vague "summer" theme. Synthetic and bland, no sharp juiciness from the mango or tartness from the ginger. Like one of those "fruit juices" from the 90s that only contained 10% juice and a bunch of chemicals. Pacific Chill runs laps around Limonata, and I'm not even a fan of that one. If it had a bit more florals to balance out the ridiculously sweet fruits I'd say it would be a good feminine scent, but as it is this is screechy and unbalanced.

Bright & refreshing

I like Narcotica fragrances and own a few, so was excited to try this one.

Limonata opens with a burst of bitter grapefruit. It’s bright, happy, fresh and invigorating. I do get slight window cleaner vibes, but this does disappear relatively quickly. As it dries down it does get smoother and a bit sweeter. I can smell the mix of grapefruit and ginger, with some greenness from the fig. I really don’t detect any of the other notes. I don’t get any mango for sure. There is a slight aquatic vibe to it, although I wouldn’t say I smell marine notes as such. The grapefruit note is the most prominent throughout. This will make a lovely refreshing summer scent for someone. It’s not for me personally, but it’s a scent I’d enjoy smelling on someone else.

Someone mentioned God of Fire being kind of similar, and I’d agree that this is in the same kind of family as that one but without the heavy musky vibe.

Grapefruit and mango. Vaguely aquatic. Reminds me of God of Fire, but less intense, more refreshing and wearable.

Lovely bright/sour sucker punch of grapefruit/currant/ginger that quickly fades to a sweet musk. A good bedtime scent. Not much mango at all

I need to spend more time with my sample. I’m mostly getting Grapefruit, lemon and ginger. It’s ok but probably a pass

Not sure how the other statement said bad longevity. This is easily 6-8 hours for me. Very realistic grapefruit. Less obnoxious God of Fire. Excellent
