Nice sweet/powdery/floral/resinous blend
This is my first try of one of the two newest releases from Navitus Parfums, Carte Blanche, which immediately has a pleasantly sweet, spicy, floral, musky blend that’s quite agreeable and palpably versatile from the onset. Of the note listing, I mainly get a citrus mix, almond, cardamom, resins, vanilla and vetiver. I’d certainly like to get more of the driftwood, but maybe it’s part of the sort of slight, general salty/sharp vibe.
It’s definitely unlike the rest of the Navitus collection so far. Maybe it’s the white bottle color that they have in common, but Verve Matin is the only other release from the house that seems remotely close to Carte Blanche, but Carte Blanche is notably sweeter and more resinous. But both are fairly agreeable.
Carte Blanche is nice even if not among my very favorites from the line, and I’m happy to have a decant of it to keeping trying out a bit.
Carte Blanche and The Embrace, the two latest Navitus releases, are currently only sold via the Navitus Parfums website, and are both priced at the now seemingly standard $195 for 100ml, under the $2/ml line that I regard as reasonable for niche perfumery.
