Aventus Meets Wind Wood

A very crisp opening, with full focus on the pineapple and lemon top notes. Almost thirst inducing. The woody and mossy notes are mostly secondary here. I detected no saffron, but the oakmoss is a key player and comes full throttle during the last phase still allowing those fresher notes to remain dominant. Does it smell like Aventus? While it is definitely in the family, it also resembles Mancera Wind Wood. However Vivamor and Wind Wood runs laps around Aventus, because it simply doesn't last. There isn't much more to say here. It's a very safe, familiar and mainstream offering from this brand. The variation of oakmoss they use here for some reason always has this "Raid-like" effect or that's how I perceive it. On my skin, it was pleasant until the drydown. Vivamor is worth trying if you're looking for another option to weigh against the many Aventus dupes that now exist.

Hacivat but better

So, in the search for pineapple scents, Hacivat would always pop up as the recommendation. Shamefully on my skin it was a moss bomb without any fruityness, just straight up earthy wet soil smell. A lot of Aventus adjacent scents don't really focus on the pineapple but more so on the smoky birch, so alternatives were growing thin.

I stumbled upon Vivamor after watching some videos, but I couldn't find a place to sample it. Found a bottle for $110, and using the reference of it being a mix of Aventus and BR540, I blind bought it.

It was an instant love. Juicy fruity pineapple, bordering on synthetic but never overtly so. The oakmoss feels very well balanced, and the saffron sweetness is ever present during the life of the fragrance. Some slight funk when smelled up close for me, but haven't had that complain from anyone else so my nose might be broken lol. Longevity and projection are insane. I grow noseblind to this real quick, but keep getting whiffs throughout the day. 7 hours in on a hot summer day, my brother could smell me from 3 feet away. 16 hours later, I could smell it faintly on my skin and still very prominently on my shirt.

If you want a sweeter more juicy version of Hacivat, that's a lot more unisex (but still leaning masculine) this one is the way to go. Pricing, even brand new retail, is very good. Bottle feels high quality, the atomizer is pressurized and INCREDIBLE. Overall, this one is a winner for spring and summer.

Masterpiece

Insanely gorgerous fragrance! I can really see why its called a compliment monster!!

Opening is citrusy pinepple, you can really smell some hacivat/aventus DNA. This is a very smoooth opening. It will then slowly fuse with saffron, amber & leather. This is now magic happens and the fragrance turning into a masterpiece. I can describe it as smoth, gorgerous with super high quality. It is so alluring.. it really says hey i’m sex!

I have not tried the br540 + aventus combination but i could easily imagine it would smell like this as i’ve tried them seperately. From my experience i would say this is similar to hacivat with some sweet amber and saffron.

it has a stunning presentation, it has quality, it has 30% perfume concentration, it smells holy, it has sillage, it has longevity.. it has everyting!! Masterpiece!

Who is it for?
Those Pineappleheads that love the hacivat/aventus dna. Also saffronauts!

something familiar and something new

I was curious about Vivamor because of a very interesting note breakdown and a well respected perfumer attached to it so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. As expectation started to increase I couldn't resist but to look for reviews in youtube and I only found 2. Both agreed that this fragrance was a hybrid between Aventus and BR540 which is interesting enough and layering 2 of niche powerhouses like those couldn't go wrong, right?

I haven't tried BR540 so I can't talk about the parallels between both but I do own Aventus and I can see where the comparisons come from. Yes, Vivamor has a lot of Aventus in it but it also have some fruity/sweetness added and yes it does work. This isn't a clone by any stretch of the word, it does take some elements borrowed to create something new and sexy.

Presentation for Vivamor is top notch, it comes in a luxury box, a gorgeous bottle, a new cap and an amazing atomizer, it's all very elegant and classy. The scent is lovely and my only complaint is that I wish they dialed down a little on the sweetness, it goes further down unisex territory almost to become a feminine fragrance, this is no manly frag. Still as it is I really enjoy wearing it. Performance is good, I get around 8-9hrs.

Edit: I wore it last night and went to bed, 12hrs later I can still smell it, performance is outstanding
