Nutty and rich

Was expecting this to be much more screechy and in your face. Its definitely a gourmand, rich and nutty with a faint floral overtone but I'm mainly getting the almond and pistachio, mixing with the Tonka. Its nice! I feel a bit uninspired to write anything else about it though so not the best sign haha but its certainly not bad or offensive to my nose. Better than a lot of other samples I've tried but not quite cracking into the favourites list.

From baklava to mandelbroyt

Smelled this as my wife was exploring the fragrance in a Perfumery. It started off as a photorealistic baklava. As it dried down and the almond came out more, making the fragrance more reminiscent of mandelbroyt (for those unfamiliar, it is similar to biscotti). Very delicious smelling, but not a fragrance for either of us.

What others dare to do...

Baklava and I have this love-hate thing going on. Either I want to dive into it when it's really nutty and soaked with dark honey. Or I want to spit it out when what I thought was honey turns out to be just sugar syrup (which usually isn't possible because it sticks like nothing else, and only closing your eyes and chewing saves you from the impending choking death)

So much for my culinary attitude towards baklava. Let's move on to the olfactory. In my search for THE honey fragrances, I couldn't pass this one by, especially since I also love pistachios. So I sniffed and took in the scent, and it really started off promising.

The pistachios were immediately present, along with an intense roasted aroma. The honey lingered in the background. Overall, a ridiculously delicious start that remained bitter enough due to the roasted aroma to be wearable. I was very taken with it. Far in the background, the orange blossom made its presence known, but still quite hesitantly.

So there I was, happy with my delicious baklava. I inhaled the aroma, admiring how this sweet sin lay before me, golden and gleaming on the plate.
And then, as I looked away for a moment, someone had the audacity to douse my perfectly crafted baklava with some random floral perfume! With a diabolical grin, this person must have poured half a bottle of some LVEB clone on it, because suddenly my baklava no longer smelled like sweet temptation, but like, well, just a baklava that had been drenched in an LVEB dupe, you can't describe it any other way.

If I catch the nitwit who ruined my baklava, they better watch out! Then there will be a clap, but no applause!

Very light almond and honey gourmand. A good “dumb reach” when you want a simple gourmand. Kinda similar to Vanilla powder in a way.
