A Honey Pot for Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the Pooh is happy because he has found his honey pot. Yummy yummy.
Through a swap, I came across Miel Extase Extrait de Parfum and I watched videos beforehand to see how this fragrance comes across. So I swapped blindly, but that's exactly what I like. Based on the fragrance pyramid, I expected a spicy honey with saffron, rum, and ginger.
When the bottle finally arrived, I couldn't believe it when I sprayed it for the first time.
A very realistic wild honey note that I haven't smelled in any fragrance so far. (I admit I don't have many honey scents in my collection)
On top of that comes the sweet peach and the rum. But the rum is not alcoholic here; rather, it is light in the background to maintain the right balance.
Ginger and saffron are sought in vain by my nose. No, the accords are not perceptible, which I find very unfortunate because I was hoping for them. They would have provided the balance to make the fragrance progression spicier.
The fragrance progression is simply honey-heavy paired with the sweet accords, and that lasts a damn long time. What also comes across very well in the dry down is the chocolate.
I see the fragrance more suited for women than for us men, and therefore mine had to travel on.
The bottle is really heavy, and the sprayer is top-notch.
The 100ml will last a very long time because you don't need more than 3-5 sprays to enjoy it all day long.
For summer, it will be too overwhelming and too sweet, but perfect for the cold days.
