Licorice and Baking in the Woods
When I first tried this fragrance, all I got was the licorice smell from the aniseed. The second time I was able to pick up more of the nuance. To start, the licorice is pretty strong and only really fades before you hit the dry down phase, it also adds a sweetness to the fragrance. There is a waxy/resin pine background at the beginning to help the licorice from being overpowering. Those will fade and then the cinnamon and vanilla will appear to make the scent more of a holiday baking scent, a little gourmand. The dry down looses the licorice and becomes more of a musky woody scent. I never really picked up the florals, at least as not individual notes. The projection is strong in the beginning and it lasted about 4 hours on skin (which is weaker compared to some of the other fragrances I've tried from this line).
