A perfume called Death
Stunning creation. Even better on the skin than on the blotter, as my skin pushes up the Oud even more. A perfume called death. A perfume about decomposing matter. The Rose is withered but provides a mysterious and dark sensuality. Organic, dead, dark, medieval, old-world smell. I have a fascination with Dracula (Stoker's version) and many times would try to find perfumes that in my mind would fit his character. This one seems really well fit. This, and Iris Silver Mist. Very unique creation. I can see a parallel with January's Scent Burvuvu, but this one is much darker. Smells of foliage, mushrooms, yeast, fermented/rotting wood, oily smoked leather, and withered roses. To me, it's gorgeous, but I can see this coming off as challenging for most people. Definitely sample beforehand, no blind buy whatsoever.
