A New Flop
As always around Easter, new fragrance arrivals are popping up like mushrooms. After all, Easter gifts must be brought to the woman, the man. Last year, I found a scent in the special edition that I really liked, so I was curious about what special fragrance would hit the shelves this year. To be honest, I found the fragrances before 2024 not worth mentioning. It was all a homogeneous mix that changed slightly from year to year.
However, I soon realized that the fragrance from last year was the exception. This year, they dug up the old formula from previous years and made some minor changes. "Greed is good" seems to be the motto of the company, as not much has changed. A fresh start, and I was already looking forward to it. But the joy was short-lived, as the freshness quickly faded. A few flowers were added, but they were hard to distinguish. After 10 minutes, the freshness was gone, and so were the flowers. Instead, there was a strangely bitter finish. Quite disharmonious and more suited for autumn than the summer half of the year. I thought something more would come, but nothing did. After just one hour, the scent was gone. As a body spray, it might have potential, but as a fragrance... no. To wear it at +35 degrees in the shade, it was too bitter.
The bottle is the standard bottle of the company, which is printed differently from year to year. Sure, it has recognition value, but it's not particularly well done. With the 2024 fragrance, the print can be scratched off.
Anyone who chooses this fragrance won't go wrong. However, they should be aware that it is nothing special. There are better options in this price range, even among the discount offerings.
