Expensive presentation, cheap juice
I guess that what i said about 40 Knots can be also applied here: another mainstream formulation tweaked and bottle into an extravagant bottle cased in an a box as extravagant as the bottle. Certainly this Xerjoff collection seems created to that public where money is not a problem and where it doesn't matter what is inside the bottle as long as it cost a lot and draws enough attention.Comandante is inspired on a tobacco club, but besides it having a tobaco aroma it doesn't effectively creates this aura (which can be seem well created in another brands' creation, Oroville). Do you know for me which is the difference between this fragrance and Ck Shocki Him? The intensity that both use the same synthetic accord of tobacco and cedar. While Shock goes full on it, Comandante goes into a softer approach. It opens with a strong musk smell, which is in parts creamy and in parts animalic; this transform quickly into a sweet almond aroma.Them after that you get the synthetic dry tobacco accompanied of the dry and synthetic woody aroma that seems to be on smaller or heavier doses on several creations on this line. At last, some kind of musk with oud nuances finishes Comandante on skin after some hours of evolution with a great an excellent lasting on skin, another pattern on this line that seems to compesante the lack of originality in their compositions.

Ok... What else you have?
Nicely blended. Quality is alright. Nice scent.
However, in terms of originality, it belongs to the mainstream. Therefore, if you are a perfume enthusiast, it's a pass.
If you are a man with $ome ca$h to spend, it'll do very nicely. Probably will give you complements too.

I won't go into note breakdown, because it's not the case.
The longevity and sillage could be better though. Unfortunately they're at mainstream average level as well.
Tip of the day: try others from the line - I find them much more attention worthy.

In the Club of the Red Lights
So, the time has come, I would describe myself as incredibly elite because I have my first Xerjoff at home.
Admittedly, one of the cheaper ones among the most exclusive available on the European fragrance market, but it is a Xerjoff.

Now I am a club member, so I could go play golf tomorrow, no longer see polo just as a car brand, and have my private dentist scrape the last bits of black caviar from my molars; all of this is what this membership gives me.
I am no longer just a businesswoman, no, I am a businesswoman with a Xerjoff on the shelf. The world can deal with me, oh, I forgot, it could do that before as well. ;)

About the scent: Smoking is great. But here, nothing and no one is smoking.
Tobacco is great, but this off-color variety still needs to be invented.
No cherry, cognac, or vanilla. Tobacco is glaringly absent. Not a problem, because my big fear with this blind buy was that it might smell alcoholic or honey-heavy. That is not the case.

So we are dealing with an oriental semi-gourmand that is clearly spicy and woody. Cedar plays one of the main roles here. (That is the slightly sour-minty ice candy that was mentioned below) ((which can also be found in 40 Knots))
Based on that is a mixture of essential pine needles, cardamom, nutmeg, sweet tonka beans, borderline musk (similar to Nasomatto) BUT with the unmistakable, wonderful Xerlinade.

Conclusion: I wouldn't have thought of the Havana Club right away. Nevertheless, with Xerjoff, you ALWAYS embark on a crazy long journey with olfactory corners, edges, and niches that have not existed like this before.
I would rather assign the perfume to the male world, but I won't tell anyone that. (Revolutionaries among themselves.)

EL CHE VIVE!

An absolute masterpiece
This is a favorite perfume - not just from Xerjoff, but overall!

For me, this scent is interesting, spicy, slightly oriental, sexy, and elegant. It hits just the perfect notes to feel fresh, while also being mysterious.
There are indeed many great fragrances out there - but most have some strong synthetic ingredients that I simply don't enjoy after wearing them 3-4 times. What I love about this scent is that it never gets on my "nerves".

The only downside is the bottle. It looks extremely chic, but when you want to take the perfume on a trip, the stopper comes off very easily and the surrounding area smells of the perfume ;-). This has happened to me twice now and has cost me some nerves.

It's hard to describe the scent in detail, but you can't go wrong here.

10/10!

Tobacco for Beginners?
Today's review is about a rather unknown Xerjoff perfume. I bought Join The Club - Comandante! blind and was not disappointed; here the buyer receives a wonderful tobacco scent that is not as sweet as, for example, Tobacco Vanille, nor does it go in the direction of ashtray like Tobacco Oud (not meant to be offensive with Tobacco Oud, but for laypeople, it really smells like that). The fragrance is simple yet very well made, with a beautiful fresh pipe tobacco combined with fresh fruity notes and a hint of floral, resulting in a clear tobacco DNA without smelling like a pipe or an ashtray. This makes Join The Club - Comandante! particularly suitable for beginners in the tobacco category or for those transitioning from designer fragrances, as Join The Club - Comandante! is not heavy to wear or contains animalistic oud. I would rate the longevity as good, but it could still be a bit better; a good 8-9 hours are possible with good sillage. I find Join The Club - Comandante! is unjustly so unknown; here you get a solid and special fragrance for what I believe is still an acceptable price.

Comandante! opens with fruity freshness and a hint of lavender, reveals an overly sweet tobacco heart and dries down to a woody finish.

Fruity notes w/ some florals, ~0 honey/tobacco. Great spring/summer scent, unisex. Carner's Tardes is the same profile for half the $.

Clean tobacco flower. I get sweet soapy fruity rich tobacco. Very smooth. Smells like better, higher end, more complex niche Versace dreamer

Different twist on Mancera Aoud Blue Notes. Fresh floral tobacco, nicely blended but the Mancera is of higher quality and more interesting..

It smells beautiful. For me, it's more classic-masculine and only a bit sweeter in the base. Unfortunately, it's also a bit overpowering. In that way...

More sailor than commander.
Light fresh/floral everyday scent for everyone. In the dry down, vanilla and tobacco come through. The fruity notes are a plus.

Somehow it’s off-kilter on the edge of the mainstream shelf: fruity opening (artificial apple: awful), shower gel (Ambrox), sweet base.

A warm, delicious, and lovely cozy scent for the colder days - light sweetness with rounded, balanced tobacco and individual flowers.
