Bahiana Twin
Short backstory:
Some time ago, I ordered a few samples, including Bahiana by Maitre Parfumeur. I wanted something fruity-fresh for the height of summer. I really liked this Bahiana, but it was too fleeting for me. It lasted only about half an hour on me. So I searched on Parfumo for something similar that might be a bit more long-lasting.
Coconut definitely had to be included, coconut is just a must for summer for me.
That's how I came across La Vida Loca from the Schlossparfumerie. I then simply ordered it, even though I had sworn to myself so many times before, never again blindly!
When I finally held it in my hands and sprayed the first spritz on my wrist, I was incredibly surprised at how similar the two fragrances are, almost identical. And La Vida Loca is indeed a bit more long-lasting than Bahiana. But unfortunately not enough. So about 2 hours.
It could also be that my nose is deceiving me; I have been experiencing this phenomenon of lacking longevity with many fragrances lately. That's why I'm currently exploring the oriental direction, which I used to avoid.
However, I find the scent of La Vida Loca very nice, fresh-fruity-delicious as desired. Just perfect for really hot days. The freshness kick, so to speak.
Still, it doesn't quite feel "like mine."
