Journey into the Past
My test of Pyramide was a truly special experience.
I was unfamiliar with both the scent and the "Schlossparfumerie" - or so I thought! When I researched the perfumery, I realized that I had often walked past the shop in Stuttgart, where I lived at the time. Back then, I hadn't yet scouted for perfumeries with interesting assortments everywhere. Shortly after, I read that the perfumery had closed a few months prior due to a lack of a successor. The building was demolished. I also began reading about it here on Parfumo and felt transported to another time. I took a journey into olfactory history.

Now to the scent. After the first sniff, I thought: nice but boring and powdery "grandma scent." However, about an hour later, I couldn't keep my nose away from my wrist. The scent becomes warm, cozy, and comforting. I would say it has a fresh laundry scent, but not in a flat, boring, and overly musky way as you might think. Pyramide is more refined. It smells of fresh laundry and the elegance of a grande dame at the same time. It has a floral scent without being overwhelming. However, I don't perceive lemon and pepper at all. The longevity is above average. Pyramide is a complete and rounded fragrance that truly captivated me.

The Sacred Tears of Thebes
Phew, this reads a bit heavy. Les Larmes Sacrées de Thèbes by Baccarat is said to be the "fragrance inspirator" for "Pyramide." To understand that, one would need to know how the sacred tears of Thebes smelled.
At least the title fits much better than Pyramide.
I associate Pyramide with Egypt - logical - , sand - dry - , colors - colorful - ...
But this fragrance absolutely does not have that. If I now think of a desert and there a lush oasis filled with trees and flowers, THEN it could make sense.
Pyramide is dust-dry, creamy, unsweet, white-floral, and clings extremely well. The scent envelops you and creates a feeling of cleanliness, a sense of security, and a feeling of thirst, because this fragrance is truly dust-dry.
Upon spraying, I don't get any lemon, but a handful of delicate pink pepper, a basket full of jasmine, and I believe a bucket full of ylang-ylang, along with a scoop of white musk hits my nose. A magnificent white bomb, ticklish and pure. Tonka bean comes much later. It makes the fragrance creamy and not quite so desert-dry. Vanilla... hmm, if anything, Micallef has really used vanilla in just the right dosage, because there is and will be absolutely nothing sticky-sweet about this fragrance. When I spray Pyramide on my wrist and after a while sniff like a little bunny on my wrist (that is, quickly in and out), it becomes soft, slightly vanillic, and really very, very pleasant.

If you don't like powdery, unsweet scents, then Pyramide is a no-go! For everyone else - go for it - here you can really notice the typical M. Micallef.

White flowers, especially Ylang with a hint of Jasmine
plus fluffy musk + soft vanilla
creamy + powdery at the same time
similar to Nivea

Starts innocently with a white sea of flowers, only to later transform into a gigantic musk-tonka bomb. Longevity is endless.

Creamy-powdery musk opening that reminds me of Nivea. Loses the creamy note over time & becomes increasingly powdery-sweet! Great for powder fans.

a white fresh sea of flowers followed by a cloudy fluffy, unsweet silver powder - very elegant, a must for powder fans. Dreamy when dosed subtly.

Reminds me a lot of Lutèce by Houbigant. Intensely floral and powdery. A white flower orgy with a decent sweetness. Not my thing.

The white flowers have seen many hours of sunshine, smelling enchanting-sweet. Then it becomes nicely creamy-powdery. Yes, a bit like Nivea.

Ladies' fragrance! The emphasis is on ladies and fragrance. A refined white floral powderiness with a creamy finish. Teint de Neiges' big cousin?

I didn't really like Teint de Neige. This one even less. Madamig, slightly citrusy, cloying flowers, and a powder bomb.
