presses some kind of button on my lizard brain

this is VERY intoxicating for me! it's somehow very airheaded and girly yet also complex and mysterious at the same time. the vanilla-anise combo is so delicious it almost makes my mouth water. the gardenia is gorgeous as well, and it reminds me of this wonderful gardenia-fragranced dan cong oolong I've had.

this scent is super accessible and inoffensive, but not in a way that makes it boring or one-dimensional. signature scent worthy. I can see myself wearing this in hot summers on the beach or at festivals, basking in the sun. it is magnified and spreads lusciously in the sunlight!

Enchanting tropical and sun-kissed vanilla!

Vanille Rêve is a gorgeous tropical floral vanilla fragrance. The experience starts with cool and spicy anise, which is the one phase I do not enjoy. However, shortly thereafter, a tobacco-tinged vanilla takes over the composition supported by creamy white florals. Tiare (Tahitian Gardenia) is the most prominent floral in the composition to my nose, and it adds a creamy and tropical quality to the blend. Every now and then, I perceive some other spices in the background (perhaps cinnamon and nutmeg?). Towards the latter half of the wearing experience, vanilla becomes the star of the show again, but it has more gourmand-ish qualities now, reminiscent of baked goods (but never too sweet).

In my opinion, Vanille Rêve can be worn all year round, but I prefer to wear it during the spring and summer. I would describe it as a unisex scent, leaning towards feminine ever so slightly. Performance is slightly above average on my skin. I have the Cubique Glass Bottle with Stopper sealed with Gold Thread, which looks exquisite with its classic design and impeccable glasswork.

All in all, Vanille Rêve is among my favorite vanilla fragrances now, especially during the warmer weather. The pairing of tiare flower with vanilla merge to form a warm, tropical and sun-kissed embrace. Pure bliss!
