Your Love Sticks
The cornerstone of the jewelry house Korloff, founded 40 years ago, is the unique 88-carat black diamond owned by the family, who emigrated from St. Petersburg to Paris during the Russian Revolution, leaving behind nearly all their possessions except for the valuable stone.
In the meantime, the luxurious goods have been complemented by an ever-expanding fragrance line, all of whose currently available bottles are topped with a cap shaped like a square diamond.
The scents from the men's line that I have had the chance to experience so far have been mostly very appealing, and I had quite high expectations for the women's fragrances, whose somewhat round bottles impressed me with their dynamic and elegant lines.
Thus, Korloff In Love came to me.
The bottle is a true gem, which feels valuable and is easy to handle.
The scent itself is very sweet and jasmine-heavy; at first, it also seems a bit fruity to me, even though no fruit is listed here.
Of all the ingredients mentioned, I actually only perceive jasmine in a duet with tonka.
Rose completely eludes my nose, as does ylang-ylang, which I often find difficult in higher doses, as it triggers headaches.
There’s also no trace of patchouli, which would have balanced the fragrance well, or oud.
In Love remains lovely, sweet, and very feminine with average longevity and rather low sillage.
Those who enjoy fragrances of this kind will find this one quite satisfying, as there are always very interesting offers in terms of price.
For me, this love feels too one-dimensional and sticky.
