An aquamarine made perfume
I was attracted by this gem-bottle on the shelf of the drugstore where I usually go looking for my fragrance: my mind went immediately to the cult movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with the classy and wonderful Audrey Hepburn and to the precious jewels of this historical Maison.
So, I took this bottle which seemed an aquamarine and I sprayed the scent: immediately the fresh citrusy notes of the mandarine came to my nose giving me a very refreshing sensation, then I smelled a very soft and classy iris heart, neither bitter nor too powdery, but extremely clean . Then, after a few hours I smelled the musky base, light but anyway noticeable. I didn't smell the patchouli , I don't know why.
This perfume is light, pure, cristalline and make me think to the water . It's perfect as day scent in the hot season but it could be worn by night too in the hottest nights. Unfortunately, in comparison to the high price the longevity isn't so good and the sillage average to weak. What a pity. The multifaceted bottle is a gem, in teh style of the most beautiful and classy Tiffany's creations.

It is the Spirit of the Times
Ladies and gentlemen, feel free to reprimand me for this comment and start a shitstorm. I’m writing it anyway because it’s close to my heart.

I got to know Tiffany because my favorite YouTubers wore the famous heart necklaces. I found the simple yet special jewelry really pretty and saved up for a while until I could afford something for myself. To this day (!) I still wear my necklace and the matching bracelet with great pleasure, as it goes with everything and can be combined in a very individual way. Yes, yes, YouTube, that’s not real work, and those influencers - I can already hear the voices from off-screen. But it is the spirit of the times - nowadays, the young ladies and gentlemen from the internet are stars and embody a certain lifestyle. And this lifestyle is represented by the new fragrance from Tiffany. By the way: that lifestyle is neither better nor worse than that of 10, 20, 30, or 40 years ago. Times have simply changed. I always get a bit annoyed when I read comments on Parfumo like "fragrances were better in the past, nowadays there’s only diluted broth!" In my opinion, that’s not true - the fragrance taste of young women is simply different, and Tiffany didn’t want to create a Shalimar 2 here.

The fragrance is by no means bad; it is beautifully fresh with a certain zesty fruitiness. Unlike many other fresh perfumes, it actually lasts quite a long time on the skin and is not too close to the body, but has a noticeable sillage. I can imagine Tiffany beautifully in spring, with a delicate dress and a loose cardigan over it. It is feminine and has nothing heavy about it - but that’s nothing for which a perfumer should be ashamed. Why should that be "the downfall"...? The bottle also fits beautifully with the fragrance; it is as clear and elegant as my jewelry pieces. Without much fuss, but classic and bright.

Thank you.

The End of the End
When Truman Capote created the character of Holly Golightly nearly sixty years ago - it has never really made sense to me how anyone could find her even remotely likable, no matter how endearingly fragile Audrey Hepburn tried to portray her a few years later - the eponymous New York store Tiffany & Co. was at the forefront of the luxury jewelers of this world. A proposal with a solitaire from Tiffany - it was invented here! - long stood as the ultimate girlhood dream, and the turquoise boxes with white ribbons became the object of desire for daughters of higher and lesser status around the globe - the box perhaps even more important to some than the accompanying question itself.

Strategically at least questionable, Tiffany & Co. consciously chose in recent decades to progressively demystify and thus trivialize its own brand. Even though the high-quality objects of desire can still be purchased there, the sterling silver portion of the product portfolio has become quite accessible for everyday life. Its current market positioning as a jewelry chain - a sort of 'premium Christian' - may have secured the company's economic survival, but the myth is gone. The launch of this latest fragrance - just in time for the Christmas season - now seals the descent of the once-noble jeweler into the retail segment, as clearly as it could be.

Here is a fragrance that noticeably wants nothing at all. One that is so desperately eager to please that it risks offending no one - and in every respect is so mediocre that one wants to shout: 'Louder! Better! Faster! More!' But nothing of the sort. Instead, there is a passionless and soulless floral sweetness in an inconsequential and almost soundless fruitiness - in a bottle that is certainly not ugly - which simply does not do justice to the history of the former desire merchant Tiffany & Co. A fragrance that seemingly serves only one purpose: to allow one more person to say, 'I got something from Tiffany for Christmas.'

Conclusion: I had never noticed how similar the turquoise tones of Tiffany and Douglas actually are. Until now.

Breakfast Scent
Since I like the men's fragrance from Tiffany's, I rushed to my perfumery with the still warm voucher to curiously pick up the women's version.

But by the morning, all the samples were already gone - so to speak, breakfasted.
A disappointment on an empty stomach.
But my Bettina didn't leave me in the dark; she filled me a little breakfast at Tiffany's.

However, she cautioned and warned me not to expect too much.

I don't know if it was due to the relatively early time of day - but I was already pleased with the first spray.

Fresh as the young morning, the scent danced towards me - and made no unpleasant demands on my sleepy nose.
No, it gently awakened it with citrus notes and clarity from the mandarin.
Additionally, it felt invigorating like flowing water on my pulse.
The iris dusts lightly - but does not take away the brightness of the scent.
A hint of patchouli wafts in, adding a touch of elegance.

No, I am not at all disappointed - although, or precisely because, the women's version has nothing to do with the fullness of the men's fragrance.
Sometimes less is simply more.

The longevity could be better - but I enjoyed re-spraying.

Replacement - Plastic Spoon without Engraving
As a fan of the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's," I was quite curious about this fragrance, especially since perfumes play a role in it - noble scents. And of course, during my first visit to New York, I had to stop by this store - well aware that such jewelry does not suit me. However, on the ground floor, there was only what is intended for the "passing customers" of the noble house. Well, I’ve seen it once. The real investors seem to be served in other rooms. Anyway, what I saw did not impress me; a few streets away, I did see some really beautiful jewelry in a display, modern and elegant - of course, at astronomical prices.
Back to Tiffany's latest creation: It does have a floral aspect, but it feels flat and lacks refinement. Green mandarin? I couldn’t detect it, not even close; rather, from the very beginning, there’s an abstract floral quality that exudes little sensuality and remains strangely faceless. Iris? There are hundreds of fragrances that handle it much more sophisticatedly and "authentically." I can derive nothing more from this scent than desolation across the board. Even the patchouli in the base doesn’t save it; while it doesn’t smell like a cellar vault, it fails to round things off softly and instead becomes slightly annoying. The longevity, on the other hand, is enormous, which is entirely unnecessary.
High house! It is by no means creative to feed something produced a hundred times into a regurgitation process - this pasture has been grazed. In the end, a film comes to mind: Theo Lingen says to his seemingly moderately talented students: "Sad, sad, sad!" - Fits perfectly here as well.

It's a floral/powdery patchouli scent. Easy to wear as a fresh daily, but there are many fragrances like this.

After the breakfast, you can wash the croissant flakes off your fingers with the floral liquid soap making your hands smell cool and clean.

Very strange, soapy, laundry musks, dirty musks. A bit of egg sandwich vibe. Redundant to say didn't work on me.

The name "Tiffany" promises a gem, but unfortunately this scent is not one - it's a bland little water at drugstore level!

Immediately thought of Audrey, it must be elegant! Unfortunately very bland, fresh-floral-fruity; completely uninteresting, Stacy & Co. would fit better.

Boring little water, like so many I've smelled before, no trace of character, exclusivity, elegance, a shame for the name + beautiful bottle!

A scent for all ice queens. Especially lovely in biting cold and dazzling winter light. Crystal clear, sophisticated, spherical.

A typical Prada scent in an Elie Saab bottle, with Tiffany written on it. There's not much more to say. It's beautiful nonetheless.

Where is the iris? Indifferent floral, reminds me of luxury fabric softener. It rides the wave of the current light floral musk scents.
