Sparkling, sweet, playful
After a few experiments as a teenager, I didn't wear any perfume at all for years and as most designer fragrances (and they still do) have an overwhelming effect on me, I thought: perfume just isn't for me. But thanks to a fragrance-crazy friend, I gave it another try. She showed me the Byredo fragrances, which I found to be much more pleasant and refined than what the designer range had to offer. Young Rose was the first fragrance I bought after many years and my entry into the (niche) perfume world. Since then, fragrances have captivated me and I am learning more and more about what I like and what I don't like.
But now to Young Rose: For me, the name describes the fragrance perfectly, because this is not a classic rose fragrance (the kind that smells like grandma to one or the other), but a sparkling, fresh, playful - young - interpretation. At the beginning, I smell something sparkling - probably due to the Szechuan pepper. It has a champagne-like quality like Zarkoperfume - Pink Molecule, albeit much less intense. For me, Young Rose is the most successful translation of the word "girly" into a fragrance. Because it is not cardboardy sweet, but "girly" in a cooler, more self-confident sense. That's why I don't think Young Rose is only suitable for young people. But when I wear it, I feel the lightness and freedom of my early 20s, when you didn't know exactly where you were going and took everything a little less seriously. For me, it fits perfectly into spring and I think it will always remain a favorite - if only because it opened my way into the world of fragrances.

My favorite "I don't know what to wear" fragrance
Since I bought Glossier You here on parfumo, it's the fragrance I reach for most often when I don't know what to wear - or preferably just not to wear anything at all, but still want to smell good and feel good. An unobtrusive (signature) fragrance that simply always works and doesn't annoy anyone - whether summer or winter, in my free time or in the office.
As molecular fragrances were still completely new to me, it took me a while to get used to the synthetic character of this fragrance. But then I was blown away. According to the manufacturer's description, depending on your skin type, the floral-powdery iris note, the spicy pepper note or the ambrette/musk note should be more prominent. On my skin, it is definitely the iris and it stays until the end.
I will definitely be buying more Molecule fragrances - I have already tested Molecule 01 and have it on my wish list.

It starts so beautifully, but then...
I tested this fragrance because there are few designer fragrances that I really like and I've heard so many good things about this one. The scent notes also sounded promising - maybe my new winter evening fragrance?
The opening is so beautifully spicy and fresh, I can definitely detect ginger and cardamom - I thought: this is exactly what I've been looking for. Unfortunately, I didn't like it at all as it progressed. After the top notes had faded, it smelled very soapy to me and evoked associations with my grandma's bathroom. In the drydown, the coconut that has already been described here came through, and from then on at the latest I just found it annoying and wanted to get rid of this fragrance from my skin.
I can imagine that Crystal Noir EdP has many fans, but unfortunately it's not for me.
I perceive the longevity and sillage as relatively strong, which is why I think the price-performance ratio is good.

Summer on the Côte d'Azure in a bottle
For me, the development of this fragrance perfectly reflects the course of a hot summer's day: it begins very fresh and green, like a summer morning when the air is still cool but the sun is already radiating heat and evaporating the last remnants of moisture from the night on the leaves of the fig trees. As it progresses, it becomes significantly warmer and the creamy, milky notes become more pronounced. Nevertheless, it does not become sweet and coconutty (I can certainly understand the coconut associations in the reviews, but for me it just smells neutrally milky, without coconut), but remains fresh and light, which makes it easy to wear even on very hot days. For me, it's the perfect vacation fragrance that should not be missed in summer. The only criticism is that you have to spray the fragrance several times if you really want to wear it all day long.

Patchouli where the nose smells
On the test strip, the fragrance was exactly what I expected: a clean, fresh, floral, non-intrusive fresh-laundry fragrance, perfect for the weekend, whether on the couch, on a leisurely walk, or Sunday brunch. On my skin, however, the patchouli base note came out very strongly, unfortunately an absolute no-go for me personally. It reminds me a lot of Narciso Rodriguez For Her EdT, which I also don't like at all because of the intense patchouli. Too bad - I really wanted to have this fragrance.
