This is the final boss of office scents: a perfectly neutral powdery floral soap scent.

So why don’t I love it? It took a little while to figure it out. It’s very clean, but also very impersonal, even anonymous. It feels a little commercial somehow, like an advertisement that this is how you should smell as a Clean Person(TM). It’s not bad — in fact it’s pleasant in its own way — but I prefer a skin scent to have a bit of intimacy and warmth.

Projection and longevity are both surprising for a skin scent, and an EDT at that. I was in a little scent bubble most of the day, and if I sniff my wrist I can still smell it 9 hours later.

For the “so fresh and so clean” crew
At one point in my fragrance journey, I used to absolutely love this fragrance. But as I continue to try new things, this one has dropped down to only a like for me and I’m planning on decluttering my bottle.

Lazy Sunday Morning is a very pretty and clean musk scent, with rose, iris, aldehydes, and a touch of white florals. I really don’t pick up on any of the pear, patchouli, or ambrette. It’s super fresh (perhaps a bit too fresh) and easy for daily wear. There is no way you could offend anyone around you wearing this fragrance and it’s very much a “blend in with the crowd” kind of scent.

As much as I enjoy the scent, the performance on this and many of the Replica’s are abysmal. This doesn’t last on my skin last 3-4 hours and the projection is intimate unless you overspray (and I mean really overspray). For the price, I think you could find a better scent with better performance. This could easily be someone’s signature scent and it’s appropriate for year round wear. I actually enjoy this scent more in the fall than I do in the spring / summer. I think the heat and humidity actually take away from the scent and it needs cool, crispy air to get good wear.

Edit: I read a review somewhere that said this was the most popular scent in Japan because of how “nonexistent” it is. Apparently, they don’t really like strong scents over there!

A very perfumey sunday morning
Unlike some other fragrances from the Replica line, this one is a relatively abstract and lose interpretation of its concept. I mean what does a lazy sunday morning actually smell like? Surely not white musk, patchouli and various flowers. To me it would actually be coffee in bed and that lived-in smell a room has after a night of sleeping, which isn't exactly what I would want from a perfume.

This Lazy Sunday Morning is essentially a musk scent in the vein of Narciso Rodriguez For Her. It's cleaner and more subtle though. I'm not a big fan of For Her, it always smells a little too overwhelming and sultry (borderline dirty) on me. Lazy Sunday Morning is a more wearable version. Here the same musk and patch are done in a more transparent way and blended with very clean notes. The aldehydes in this are very prominent, but without the dusty vintage feel many associate with them. They remind me of a laundry shop or a bubble bath with sudsy white soap. The florals are all discernable, too. Lily of the valley is usually a difficult note for me, but it works in this case and doesn't turn to screechy. I think the rose and iris tame it into a nice bouquet.

All in all i think this is a very pretty, feminine everyday scent. I don't need it in my life, but I like it much better than many similar musks. Maybe it's more of a 7.7 than a true 7.5 for me, just not quite an 8.

Comfy and clean
I tried this fragrance on a very lazy Sunday morning indeed. Climbing out of bed, wearing a soft and comfy pair of pajamas, this perfume felt very at home on me. It's a clean laundry scent, like sheets just pulled out of the dryer - still warm, fresh and inviting, it feels somehow both lazy and productive at the same time.

This is the kind of fragrance I can see myself reaching for on a day when I have to work through a list of chores, but would much rather be cozied up in bed - it's a nice way to bring that comfy feeling along with you.

I was quite impressed with the staying power of this perfume, too. For a rather delicate laundry style scent, especially an EDT, it lasted on my skin throughout the most of my day. Sillage wasn't really there, but it did have medium projection, creating that lovely bubble of comfort around me. Definitely not a scent that shouts out loud and demands your attention, but you'll be glad it's there all the same.

Evokes only "nothingness"
I don't really like it. I probably don't like Margiela itself. This is actually the most popular perfume in Japan right now. That's why all the young people wear it. But, isn't it about time for Japanese people to get out of their comfort zone of "fabric softener-like scents"? There is no fragrance in this world that never fails and doesn't make anyone uncomfortable, and there is no "fragrance that everyone loves". This is the scent of aldehydes and musk, the scent of lukewarm air coming out from the side of a The launderette. It's a vague, undefined, colorless and transparent scent that you can't really grasp the substance of. I've tried it many times, but it's hard to explain it in any other way. It doesn't give me a headache, and it's a soft scent,it lacks individuality and I can't understand the person's personality. It's completely "nothing". Of course, there are people who like that kind of scent, and it's fine to have days like that, but I think it would be more cost-effective to buy a high-end fabric softener to wear this all the time. I think it's more fun to wear your favorite scent on a lazy Sunday morning.

Wouldn't have tried this if I hadn't bought the discovery set but I'm glad I did - it's quite lovely, gentle and sweet, doesn't overwhelm.

This is sort of a replica of Musc 25 by Le Labo, albeit greatly scaled back in complexity and more scratchy.

Non-offensive and a clean scent. Smells like fresh laundry and sheets you can snuggle in. Can be rocked as unisex but leaning feminine.
