Gorgeous green vanilla
This is so good and perfect for layering any warm or green scent with to add a hint of vanilla. Not much sillage but that makes it perfect for work environment. It smells a lot like the “candy cigarettes” (that almost minty quality they had) I loved as a child with a bit more deep rich vanilla behind it. I dare say I will always be repurchasing this gem of a find!!!
No mystery here
This is too perfumey in the opening and then too familiar sandalwood in the dry down. I was hoping for that perfect unique rice milk with depth and slight woodiness to add intrigue but this is straight lipsticky/plastic sandalwood to my nose. How Barbie might smell after she makes out with Ken perhaps.
A bubble bath then a walk through mossy woods
Initially feels like I am sitting inside a soap bubble. Then it’s like the bubble pops (after about 15 minutes) and I find myself in the most beautiful mossy woods with a few sweet flowers underfoot as well. I’m a vanilla girl yet I absolutely love this. It’s clean yet not sharp or “hand soapy”. It’s unisex but i feel the dry down leans feminine. I thought it didn’t project much but I got a compliment the minute I walked into work wearing this. It makes me feel clean and sophisticated. I spray it on my sheets before bed as well, it’s peaceful and relaxing. After almost returning it when I first began testing (because I didn’t love the soapy opening), I now consider this in my top 5 fragrances. It also helps that it can be found on discounter websites occasionally (I paid $89 for my bottle).
Reminds me of vanilla cashmere lotion
After wearing for an hour or so it finally hit me why this scent is familiar. To my nose, this is a perfume version of the Eos vanilla cashmere lotion with just a bit more almond and a carmel-like sweetness even though carmel is not a listed note. A nice scent and likely competitor to the likes of Bianco Latte.
The greeting is gruff
The opening is a challenge for me: like a green hazelnut that is doused in pepper. It does not smell warm or delicious but rather dry and bitter for the first 5-10 min. It gets much better as time goes on, and the final dry down is a very nice, slightly nutty and buttery vanilla with just a hint of smoke. It’s a touch too “perfumey” for my taste but an elegant and inviting smell that is far from the over-done gourmets. I don’t detect any rose here. I’m just not sure I can survive the opening in order to get to the good stuff. Definitely feminine leaning in the mid and dry down and I have no idea who the opening is for (clearly, not me).
