Italy's Soap Boutiques
A fragrance that instantly transports me to a small Italian old town, on a balmy summer evening, when you stroll aimlessly through narrow alleyways and suddenly stop in front of a small boutique, with countless blooming plants standing outside its door.
First of all, this is the best Zara fragrance I have ever smelled. Jo Malone has managed to transform a citrus note into something truly beautiful, rather than ruining it into something biting and loud, as is familiar from many "performance" citrus fragrances. The fragrance has nothing sweet or synthetic about its citrusy character, the note is tart. Almost like freshly grated orange zest, rounded, soft and unbelievably elegant at the same time. A very subtle spiciness lingers in the background, so discreet that it never overwhelms the fragrance, but gives it exactly the depth that makes it special and elegant. On my skin, it has something soapy and clean about it, with truly impressive longevity for a citrus fragrance and strong sillage, and I could easily wear it in spring or late summer as well.
And one more thing, my hairdresser complimented me the very first time I wore it and absolutely refused to believe that it was a Zara fragrance! Completely unisex for elegant men and women. Simply a must-have for your next Capri holiday.

Infusion of Pine Needles
Some scents are moments. Aesop Tacit is one of those.
It begins with this incredible roundness - nothing stands out, nothing pushes itself forward. Everything comes together into a clean, soapy whole that immediately makes it clear: This is Aesop through and through. This unmistakable DNA, this well-groomed, clear soapiness, is more present here than ever.
Then comes the image. I am back in a hotel in South Tyrol, in the spa area, shortly after the infusion has been poured. Fresh pine needles, damp wood, warm air. That’s exactly where Tacit takes me - fresh, woody, with a fine wood note that feels like high-quality massage oil on the skin. Wellness in the form of scent.
And the best part: Tacit never has to be loud. The fragrance is absolutely not intrusive; it surrounds you like a clean linen shirt after a hot shower. No statement that screams for attention, but a quiet promise to oneself.
For all those who like to feel fresh and clean - not for the world, but for themselves. Tacit understands that.

Clearing in the Woods with a Confusing Name
Packed in due to the minimum order value and eagerly unwrapped: The name is honestly not fitting at all, which doesn’t mean that the scent is bad.
Upon spraying, one first perceives a slightly citrusy and strongly green note. Gradually, the cedarwood comes through more and more, creating a pleasant composition that reminds me of a moss-covered clearing in the woods. In short, if my next sauna infusion smells like this, I wouldn’t complain. I have worn it so far at work and during sports, and I felt completely comfortable in it.
Now it gets interesting, I find the scent great for layering. The fragrant cedarwood note combines wonderfully with citrus scents. My favorite combination so far has been with Jil Sander Sun. A great combination at 30 degrees plus, to not smell like everyone else. For the money, it’s a top purchase.

A Flower Meadow of Wood and Metal
Even the bottle makes it clear what you’re getting into: It looks super futuristic to me and represents the scent surprisingly well.
CdG 2 smells very floral and sweet, almost like a candy - but not in that weird synthetic way, rather natural and fresh, with a slight spiciness and a fine smokiness in the background. It’s exactly this blend that makes it so special to me.
When I wear it, I always think of a huge flower meadow - only the blossoms are not made of plants, but of various materials: flowers made of wood, flowers made of metal, and in all sorts of colors. This image perfectly captures the character of the fragrance.
I would recommend it to someone confident who wants to wear something special. I personally feel completely comfortable in it and enjoy wearing it to work with a casual outfit, but just as much when going out.
A scent with character - nothing off the shelf, but something for people who want to stand out with style.

Niche in a Designer Suit
Fahrenheit brings back childhood memories for me, as my father used to wear it all the time. I had forgotten about it until I smelled it again one day in a perfume shop and rediscovered it for myself.
I don't think Fahrenheit is a classic designer fragrance - it's as niche as a designer fragrance can smell. In the best possible way: to me, Fahrenheit smells like a gas station in summer. Those spicy notes, that floral quality make it smell like no other perfume to me. It's as unique as it gets, and at the same time a beautifully crafted masculine fragrance.
As it dries down, it becomes less spicy, and a hint of leather starts to come through. To me, it means pure nostalgia and will always remain my favorite fragrance.
For anyone looking for something special that doesn't offend or feel generic, yet is instantly recognizable when you smell it, Fahrenheit is just the right fragrance. Simply a signature scent!!!
