That's Crazy!
...that’s how my 16-year-old daughter would probably express my astonishment. I am indeed amazed by this fragrance here and I wonder why it doesn’t get more attention.
First of all: I love it (!) when fragrance houses re-launch discontinued scents in their own way. Brands like Armaf, Lattafa, Rasasi, French Avenue, and of course Pendora Scents produce perfumes at affordable prices, and every now and then, among the general "inspired by the original" scents, there’s a real treasure.
This year, I’ve already come across
Habik Men,
Infinity Silver, and
Arsh, which bring back to life
Le Mâle Essence de Parfum,
L'Homme Ultime, and
L'Homme Idéal Cologne. Now, Pendora Scents has dared to tackle a fragrance for which there has been no standalone clone so far (apart from Dua Fragrances):
Aqva Amara Eau de Toilette!!!
I once owned the original, but eventually the bottle ran out, and finding a replacement at an affordable price hasn’t been an option for the last 3-4 years. In the meantime, you pay astronomical prices for a bottle of the original.
Pendora Scents provides a remedy here.
Pendora Amorist almost perfectly captures the original feeling of Bvlgari on the skin.
The fragrance starts with a "blast" of mandarin and fruity freshness. I’m even quite sure I can smell a juicy orange here...a scent structure similar to Ahoi with a lot of fizz. :-)
After two minutes, the fruity notes seamlessly glide into the original DNA, and a feeling of a fresh sea breeze sets in. This unmistakable DNA gives a real sense of summer freshness. You feel like you’re on vacation by the sea.
I would rate the similarity to
Aqva Amara Eau de Toilette at 97%. I still need to test the longevity and sillage further. The first time, the scent remained on my skin for about 5 hours. However, I had used the back of my hand and sniffed it throughout my workday. I remember that I was always scent-blind with Bvlgari too...seems to be a question of the fragrance composition since it doesn’t happen to me with every perfume.
I’ve read that production has already been discontinued again, which I would greatly regret, but sometimes little treasures appear and then disappear without a trace. If I come across a bottle of this in the souk, I will definitely grab it.

Club in the 2000s - or how a cult fragrance is reborn
One should be cautious with superlatives, but please forgive me: I am absolutely thrilled.
A brief backstory. I casually came across the new Strellson fragrances and even participated in a contest to test them all. They sounded and still sound very interesting. Unfortunately, I didn’t win, which I should have known considering my old "luck" at the lottery booths of my childhood.
So it was: Read, test, and off to the drugstore where the complete line is offered. In addition to "Club | Strellson," there is also "Office | Strellson," "Date | Strellson," and "Mountain | Strellson." All of them are quite noteworthy, and each has its own justification. I was particularly eager to test "Club | Strellson," as it was supposed to be a nod to my beloved "Le Mâle Essence de Parfum | Jean Paul Gaultier," which, as we know, has been discontinued.
Now here’s what happened: I walked in and immediately applied Club to my wrist.... Yes... sweet, somehow nice... but
Le Mâle Essence de Parfum??? No, I had a different impression of that. So I stepped out of the drugstore to clear my head. This fragrance reminded me of something. Since I had another appointment, I moved on, but I kept sniffing my wrist. "What fragrance does it remind me of?" Damn... I couldn’t figure it out. Do you know that feeling? And suddenly it clicked. "Yes!!! That’s "Envy for Men (Eau de Toilette) | Gucci." I was on fire! I should add that I owned the OG several years ago and until recently also had "The Envy of FOMO | FOMO," which I didn’t fully like due to its extreme "greenness."
The Strellson takes a different, I would say, more direct approach. It doesn’t get caught up in herbal nuances but goes straight into this beautiful clove/rose interplay that I loved so much in "Envy for Men (Eau de Toilette) | Gucci." This heart note lasts for hours. The "Club" is a fragrance that truly lasts a long time on me (8-10 hours), and whenever you think it’s gone, a cloud of this enchanting perfume catches me again. I’m now on day 4 with it on clothing, and the T-shirt I wore on the first day still smells fantastic of it.
Conclusion:
Envy for Men Eau de Toilette was unique. However,
Club catapults me back to a time that was carefree and truly beautiful. Strellson "Club" is suitable not only for going out but also for formal business occasions, dining with friends, and in the office. A true all-rounder that radiates seriousness and charisma. I am really very impressed and excited.
Finally, a worthy successor to a cult fragrance.
My recommendation: Test it and fall in love again.
Best regards to this wonderful community.
