So, I've finally discovered the Souk for myself in the last few weeks.
So far, I've only been a participant in sharings, but I'm probably escalating there right now...
The plan was to work through my wish list in a disciplined way - but for some reason these people here are disrupting my plans and simply offering their own very interesting fragrances.... Lots of interesting fragrances....
So I've been able to gain a lot of new fragrance impressions recently. Some have made me resolve not to always order 5 or 10 ml in future, others were really nice surprises.
However, I haven't bought any of them yet, although I'm not usually that hesitant.

The super nice Taunusblume - thank you very much again - had enclosed a small bottle of "Fig | Arquinesia" with the post; perhaps she had discovered it on my notepad.
And what can I say: spontaneous love. The best fragrance I've had in a long time, despite all the competition. One of those where you immediately say: Yes. You and me.
This beautiful, initially slightly tangy, then softer and creamier, not too sweet fig is a dream. For me, the fragrance has something pleasantly simple, almost
One-dimensional: there are no inappropriate notes, nothing distracts from the essentials, you have concentrated on the perfect and appropriate
The ideal fragrance for warm spring days: refreshing, yet elegant and creamy. Yes, I find it really elegant despite its freshness, as if it knows that it can defy the heat in a noble and sublime way. I'm sure it also goes really well on hot summer days. After all, it's used to them thanks to its Mallorcan origins.

Because I had read so many good things about Zara fragrances, I spontaneously popped into my local store during my lunch break today. There was little time, I was completely unprepared and simply sprayed on the three fragrances with the most appealing names. And what can I say: that led directly to two spontaneous purchases!
One of them is "Golden Decade Summer | Zara" which I then sprayed on in the office.
What a wonderful, uncomplicated summer fragrance!
I immediately get impressions of warm summer evenings on vacation, when the sun is already low; but you don't want to leave the beach yet because it's so wonderfully peaceful now when everyone else is gone, and you're gripped by this wonderful summery languor; you look out to sea, your already slightly tanned skin shimmers golden warm in the late sun...
So the name fits perfectly!
Grapefruit, white flowers and sandalwood are listed.
My stubborn nose prefers to perceive unlisted pineapple instead of grapefruit - there is nothing bitter or sour recognizable for me - but the rest fits: light fresh flowers and velvety sandalwood. No progression, but a harmonious and very successful combination.
It is not a fragrance that really surprises and that you have never smelled in this way before, but it is an extremely successful feel-good summer fragrance with an acceptable presence.
And the price-performance ratio is really unbeatable!
I sniff it again: even after hours, the fragrance is still very perceptible and creates a feel-good atmosphere.

Well, you really are a very sweetie!
Actually, you're not really my kind of scent .... But now you've just popped in as a sample - and have immediately thrown all your strengths to the fore and presented yourself as a mood upgrade. The tropical fruits, the coconut, but everything in good measure, sweet but not too over the top.... Who doesn't get in a better mood right away?
It's true, you really have pina colada vibes - and sometimes that's good too, it doesn't always have to be gin and tonic...
I really liked you and your sunny cheerfulness straight away, I just wasn't sure whether the two of us could have enough time together, because the chilled out I'm-talking-life-easy moments are few and far between in my life...
But the more I sniff you, the more certain I am that a sweetie will definitely move in among all the citrusy and aquatic summer scents... A little Caribbean vibe is definitely good for the office now and again.

One of the rather sad aspects of getting older is the number of love stories that dwindle. That feeling of wanting to skip through the streets rejoicing over your new sweetheart - it doesn't really want to happen anymore. Seen so much, experienced so much, accumulated so much common sense...
I feel the same way about fragrances. I'm quick to get excited, but none have penetrated deep into my heart for a very, very, very long time...
In December, I wanted to get to know some sisters of my beloved No 5 from the Les Exklusifs range and took advantage of a visit to the Chanel department in the Biejenkorf department store in Rotterdam. There, a delightful, experienced saleswoman introduced me to the 1957, Beige and Coromandel that I wanted. I was extremely disappointed with the latter in particular - unfortunately, I didn't like this very popular fragrance at all
(Patchouli, that's all)....
When the attentive saleswoman noticed my disappointment, she asked about my preferences and introduced me to N°22. (Which I hadn't had on my radar until then).
I was immediately smitten. She sniffed my wrist and said with a smile: 'Your skin loves N°22'.
And that's exactly how it is. My skin, my nose, my heart - they all love N°22
The fragrance is not dissimilar to its big sister No5, but still very unique. It is even more powdery, soapy, clean and gentle. It does not have the grandeur of its sister, the aura of an old soul - but it is also very elegant. At the same time, it is closer, more approachable, more willing to get involved - and still gives me a feeling of strength and support thanks to the aldehydes present.
I have found a great perfume love in Rotterdam. My heart leaps for joy.
