religious experience

This truly is a High Frequency Scent, this #22. Vibrating and resonating, my body plucked like a string pulled taut between heaven and earth. spiritual, soulful, sensual.

This goes beyond scent and skin, as though I have slipped beyond my own perimeter into an boundless universe of fragrant delight.

My all time favorite Chanel! Enough said!

Vintage: First let me start off my saying this is my favorite Chanel! No 22 is the envy of all ancient Chanel's! This classy beauty is by far one of thee most interesting & highly appealing fragrances I have come across! It opens up with a tremendous burst of Aldehydes in which No 5 can not compare. It then slowly progresses into a soft white rose fragrance which is later dominated by the best part of this fragrance which is the base! Incense, Vanilla & Vetiver form a highly delectable delicious aroma that is soothing to both men & women. No. 22 becomes a skin scent which is the only thing I do not like about it. I wish it could project for miles, however it is meant for close quarters & it preforms very nicely. Dare I say this is far superior than No 5 is a understatement. The vintage formula is best, altho the Les Exclusives line is not bad, I noticed they did tone down the incense in the newer version, however a remarkable structure to a underestimated fragrance IMO! Long live NO 22!

Great floral

This is was a challeging fragrance to my nose.
In the beginning i just did not like it and found a bit dated to my nose.

After some months trying, i've realized why this is called a masterpiece by some people.

This is a heavy aldehydic floral that turns to a beautiful floral and soapy scent when dries down.
First notes are a bit difficult to my nose, but the powdery and woodsy drydown is just wonderful.

I guess the tuberose note along with vetiver gives the fine tune to this fragrance.

Very well blended, this fragrance can be used for men without problems.

If you like aldehydes and florals, this is a must have.

Sillage, lasting power and projection are good.

No.5's sexier, and naughtier twin sister

Chanel No.22 is much prettier and ten times sexier than Chanel No.5.

No.5 is like sharp baby powder and old cosmetics, whereas No.22, although powdery as well, has a beautiful array of floral accords, smokey incense and bourbon vanilla.

I can really smell the ylang ylang in this fragrance, along with the vanilla and the lily of the valley. These combined notes gives this scent a classically feminine appeal.

It's a confident scent with a touch of youthfulness, particularly with the sweet nuances. I initially detested aldehydes when I was younger, however since reaching my 20's, powdery scents are classified by me as being sexy scents.

Chanel No.22 is very white, but nowhere near being innocent. It brings to mind the feeling of being prim and proper but flirtatious at the same time.

The powder in this fragrance is less alarming than some aldehydic fragrances I've tried. It has some similarities to the beautiful D&G Women (the one with the red cap), which I also adore.

The sillage and lasting power is commendable, as is its ability to work well with any kind of skin chemistry. I highly recommend this classic Chanel masterpiece.

Classic, Timeless Elegance

No.22 is so exquisite. I smell a gorgeous combo of white flowers and smoky incense with that signature CHANEL powdery aldehyde on top. It's simply timeless, one of the best of the Les Exclusifs line.
