Unfortunately too sweet and synthetic for me
The fragrance starts off slightly citrusy. I suspect this is due to the Szechuan pepper, which can taste slightly lemony as a stimulant. I only notice the mint very rudimentarily and at the beginning.

After the very fresh opening, the fragrance quickly turns floral. The violet and gardenia dominate in combination with the calone. In general, I find "Anticonformiste | Mizensir" very sweet at the beginning. This subsides after 15-30 minutes and it becomes somewhat milder.

When I first sprayed it on, I thought about which fragrance it reminded me of and at some point "Absolutely Dark | Zara" popped into my head. While the scent of Zara is more citrusy, spicy and drier, "Anticonformiste | Mizensir" is more floral and sweet. As I have never smelled the "Percival | Parfums de Marly" myself, the "Absolutely Dark | Zara" is probably inspired by it, so I would be interested to know what the owners of the "Percival | Parfums de Marly" think.

However, I must confess that I like the "Absolutely Dark | Zara" better. The sweetness of "Anticonformiste | Mizensir" in combination with the synthetics makes me feel a little uncomfortable. I don't find this so pronounced with "Absolutely Dark | Zara".

Basically, the fragrance remains very linear and fresh at all times, floral but also sweet. Patchouli gives the whole thing something moist, green and earthy.

In my opinion, the fragrance could have done with a little less synthetics or sweetness. Unfortunately, it also remains somewhat boring in the memory.

P.s.: Thank you very much for sending me the sample. I'm delighted to be one of the chosen ones :)

Where is the fruitiness?
I am referring here to the batch with the code 30423N. That is the end of October 2023.

However, I have to say that I have my problems with the Xerjoff fragrances. This is probably due to the reformulations that have taken place.

I ordered 8 samples directly from Xerjoff (Accento, Renaissance, Naxos, Tonny Iommi, Torino 21, Uden Overdose, Zefiro and 40 Knots). I can therefore rule out the possibility that it is a) something adulterated or b) a dupe.

The Accento is pleasant, but I can only partially understand the fragrance notes given here. I don't perceive the fragrance as fruity at all. This is due to the fact that the stated pineapple does not come through at all. I smell hyacinth, iris, pepper, musk, light amber and vanilla. On the plus side, the fragrance is floral, fresh with a slight sweetness and basically smells very pleasant. In my opinion, the longevity is far below the 8.3 currently stated here. I can't bring myself to buy the fragrance for the price asked and in relation to the batch mentioned above (even at a price of around 170€). It's too "normal" for that.

The spray routine makes the fragrance
I can understand the many negative reviews, because you have to be careful with "Aoud Lemon Mint | Mancera".

If you spray it concentrated on one area (e.g. test strips), the pepper stings unpleasantly in the nose, the oud gets a penetrating smell and you don't notice the rest of the fragrance.

Hence the recommendation to spray at a distance of at least 30-50 cm. It is best to only walk through the fine mist. This way it is well distributed.

If you follow this routine, you will get an interesting and broad-based fragrance. At the beginning I smell lemon and mint, garnished with fine pepper. After about 5 minutes, the oud joins in.
At this stage, the fragrance somehow reminds me of "Tomo / とも (Eau de Toilette) | Annayake / アナヤケ".

As it progresses and in my opinion, the "Aoud Lemon Mint | Mancera" becomes slightly creamy and the almond comes through better.
The fragrance is still accompanied by mint and lemon. It smells fresh, lemony and woody.

After approx. 6-8 hours, the scent changes again noticeably. From here on, a gentle but present spiciness dominates and goes in the direction of "This Is Him! | Zadig & Voltaire".

Yes, the fragrance smells synthetic. In my opinion, it is not unpleasant and if you are careful with the "drizzling", there is no risk of headaches. Here, less is more. Despite fewer sprays, the performance on the skin is very good and outstanding on clothing.

I see the fragrance in leisure time with an active lifestyle.

If you can get the 120ml for well under 100€, then you can strike here.

Gourmet caramel, vanilla and coconut bomb
I received this fragrance as a sample as part of an order. I find the fragrance more feminine.

What do I perceive in the fragrance? Saffron, caramel, coconut, vanilla and musk. The coconut stands out strongly alongside the vanilla and caramel. The caramel smells slightly burnt to me.

The high proportion of caramel and vanilla makes it even more gourmand than spicy for me and yes, it does have something synthetic about it. I can't explain how the prevailing opinion here that this fragrance is not so sweet comes about. What could be sweeter than caramel, vanilla and coconut in one fragrance?

On the other hand, I think the longevity is extremely good.

Conclusion: Vanilla is interesting and extremely annoying at the same time. I can't describe it any other way. Both on me and on my wife, it is a bit too much in everything. Nevertheless, I can understand that the fragrance is well received.

Oh my God, he's great!
As a newcomer, in addition to specific fragrances, I also come across fragrance houses that are already in the focus of experienced users. I think Guerlain is such a house. What I have heard about Guerlain so far is how good this house is and that the ingredients used are among the best on the market.

Due to a lack of experience, I have not yet been able to put these statements into a plausible context. So it was time to investigate this topic.

Thanks to Parfumo, I quickly selected the fragrances in question and ultimately decided on L'Homme Idéal Platine Privé. If you take a look at my current fragrances, you will notice that they are characterized by a high proportion of citrus fruits. I like that very much.

I received the fragrance a few days ago and didn't touch it at first. Suddenly I asked myself whether another citrus fragrance with a manageable shelf life (according to the reviews) was really necessary.

With the creation of this review, I can write, fortunately, curiosity won out.

I hope I'm not offending anyone here, but I personally don't believe in God and yet it was the first thing I had to think about. Oh my God, he's great.

L'Homme Idéal Platine Privé starts with a tangy and very fresh lemon. The great thing is that it doesn't smell synthetic at any point. As it progresses, I notice the vetiver, which moves the fragrance more in the direction of a fresh and creamy grapefruit
At this point, it reminds me of the previously tested Theoreme. However, while the Theoreme smells unpleasantly synthetic to me and gives me a headache, the Guerlain fragrance remains pleasantly natural. The typical Guerlain almond is added as gently as the grapefruit. This gives the fragrance a sophisticated touch.

I am not yet able to accurately assess the longevity. In the end, however, I don't care whether the fragrance lasts 1, 4 or 12 hours. It smells so fantastic that I couldn't care less about how long it lasts.

Something about the bottle. Absolutely high quality. Although the lid is only made of plastic, it is so thick that it weighs quite a bit. The embossing and the prints on the bottle, all clean and high quality with attention to detail. Hats off.

For me, it remains to be said that there is something to the many statements about Guerlain. Sure, L'Homme Idéal Platine Privé is more of an introduction to Guerlain, but it makes you want more.
