Surprised, because not surprised
I actually had my first contact with the fragrance in a very anticonformal situation for me... I came across the letter with the sample as a gift during an unwanted move. I was recently transferred for work and had to get to the moving boxes quickly...
Now I'm standing there, all sweaty, in no mood, but what must be done, must be done
As I load the last boxes into the car, I decide to check the letterbox just to be on the safe side and lo and behold: no bubble envelope. That means: no scented mail. Great, that would have been too nice.
But what do I see inside? I was wrong, it's actually a winning sample of Anticonformiste
Knowing me, I test the fragrance without any ifs or buts and regardless of the time or surroundings.
And immediately get into the car.
i have a 3-hour drive ahead of me, I also didn't have time to change out of my suit into a comfortable jogger... definitely anticonform to my state of mind.
When the stress slowly subsided and the highway became a little clearer, the pace more constant and my senses relaxed, it was only then that I actually felt the fresh, synthetic scent of mint shower gel... but I didn't have time to take a shower? The freshness actually came from my right wrist! It puts a smile on your face every time you don't expect a cloud of scent and it's there anyway
Now I'm pleased that I can at least spend the remaining hours of the journey smelling my wrist extensively

Alberto Morillas is not really reinventing the wheel. But you wouldn't have expected it either.
Minty freshness meets flowers, qualitative and long-lasting. Not at all antique!
Even when unloading the boxes and putting them away, the fragrance actually refreshes with the slightest waft of air, even after hours, even with a slight spiciness from the pepper, but only because I knew the notes.
The tonka bean base is of course always welcome. Rounds it all off very well.
A really welcome surprise, but not surprising in terms of fragrance.

The guardrail fragrance. Anti-conformism in the guard rails of standard perfumery
First of all: I was very pleased to have finally won something. Even more so that it was the Mizensir, I really like the Cologne du Mate and the Poudre d'or. So I unpacked it and tried it out...

At first it seemed very masculine, almost showery. The mint really comes through for me and develops into a very fresh head with the violet leaf. Gardenia and sechuan quickly come into their own for me, making it quite spicy. The calone is intended to intensify the impression and then tonka and patchouli come into their own in the dry down, rounding off the fragrance somewhat.

And now the guy's performance. I held my arm under his nose and it came out: Your arm smells like arm... I sniffed it again and again over the course of the evening and I think it's nice. It is somehow subtle but not entirely pleasing and somehow I wondered who I could give the fragrance to. It's not classy enough for a man. It's not linear enough for my dear office buddy, as he's quite conservative when it comes to perfumes. My other office buddy wouldn't find it oriental enough either - after all, he likes ombre leather stuff. But then my brother came to mind. He likes different fragrances, is somehow an anti-conformist in his own way without everyone noticing... and that's exactly what this fragrance is. It's different within the guard rails of pleasantness...

And now my verdict: Nice men's fragrance with nice components. I think it's quite good, but I wouldn't spend 250 euros on it - I don't want it enough for that. But if you like this blend, you should check it out.

Mhm yes...the scent DNA looks familiar
Many thanks to Parfumo and Mizensir for the competition - that's how I got a manufacturer's sample of Anticonformiste :-) In the end, however, there is no bonus for the fragrance and I test it as neutrally as ever. I am almost disappointed. Please don't get me wrong, the fragrance is really okay but somehow there are so many of these fresh-synthetic-aquatic DNA - and sometimes for much...much less money. When I saw the price of the bottle, I was a bit shocked. It just doesn't smell particularly special. At least the longevity is quite good at 7 to 9 hours and the sillage is satisfactory so far.

As I mentioned at the beginning, the top note starts off quite fresh, aquatic but also synthetic, green and somewhat herbal. The fragrance reminds me of a walk through a deciduous forest in spring with violet leaves, mint and clary sage. There is also some citrus in the background. In the heart note, I recognize a hint of sea breeze with a fine peppery note. Iris, violet and gardenia then creep in. The base still smells a little sweet and continues to be green, which is reminiscent of patchouli and tonka beans.

Yes, this is certainly not a fragrance that will scare others away. But in the end, it's too ordinary and too expensive for me - sorry!

Nuuuuuu Jooooork
8:00 a.m., my clock radio switches on and Chris Martin wakes me and my husband. That's a great way to start the day. You can simply rely on 1live! I quickly hop in the shower, put on my new Guido Maria Kretschmer outfit and reward myself with twenty sprays of Anticonformiste. The fragrance just suits me. I'm totally funky myself. Stupid Tanja from the administration will make eyes at me. Ha!

So off I go in my yellow Fiat500, the rear window of which is decorated with the names of my angels, and happily make my way to the BKK Salzgitter office. I quickly put the few hours behind me. Because tonight I'm finally going out with the girls to sip cocktails at our favorite bar. Of course, I'll be capturing it all on Instagram. Bärbel will definitely be commenting again #wiederholungsbedarf.
Uuuhhh, Alicia keys is on the radio now. So turn it up and sing along. Nuuuuuuu Jooooork!

By the way, Mathias asked me to marry him on the Empire State Building. So romantic.

So, all joking aside. What kind of shitty name is that? This fragrance is as anti-conformist as Bautzen mustard at a barbecue in the East.
I also wonder where the New York reference comes from. But well, due to the urban diversity, you could also attribute every fragrance to New York in some way.
But especially in combination with the name, I could think of dozens of better ideas. Swing and blues, jazz clubs, disreputable streets, cab drivers, youth in the backyard, the chaos of the 70s, electronic influences from Detroit and Chicago, riots on Christopher Street, cultural imports of all kinds, psychopaths on Wall Street, the beginning of breakdancing and graffiti...

Well, so be it. So to the fragrance: boring!
If there's one fragrance that conforms, it's freshies. If so, then they really should have taken a risk here and reinvented the wheel, confused people, maybe even shocked them. As it is, it remains a totally random, fresh fragrance that you can get dozens of times in every Douglas store and have already smelled. Just not at this absurd price.
In terms of craftsmanship, however, the perfume is not bad at all. I think the top note is well done and the performance is also not bad for a fresh fragrance. However, it becomes too synthetic for me over time and unfortunately remains very linear and subtle. More mint and patchouli could have provided at least a few rough edges with a stronger contrast from the pepper and perhaps the name wouldn't have triggered me quite as much. But it probably would have.

The Mizensir PR department should certainly do everything differently for the next fragrance. In any case, I would suggest renaming Anticonformiste to Freshheit for the time being.

Nevertheless, thank you very much for the competition and the opportunity to test the fragrance.

Smooth as an eel
The city that never sleeps, the Big Apple, Gotham City, that's the name given to the city that now receives an olfactory homage with Anticonformiste. It is supposed to be shimmering, energetic, contain a feeling of infinite possibilities, ... but I am disillusioned, because I actually quite like Morillas' creations, at least the ones that have come under my nose so far. It may be because of my aversion to big cities, lots of people, more steel than nature or because I've never been to New York, but I don't agree with Anticonformiste.
The opening immediately reveals its aquatic and very masculine side. The calone fragrance used in the heart note is immediately present. The violet leaf fights its way through with difficulty and adds a little spice, but I only hear the peppermint as a faint whiff. This remains almost unchanged over the course of the fragrance. I can't smell the gardenia and the pepper only shines here with a delicate pinch. In the base, patchouli seems a little sweet and less earthy due to the tonka bean, but the calone provides such a supportive framework that the lingering effect really tugs at my olfactory nerves. The same goes for the sillage, because despite two sprays, I feel like I can smell it everywhere.
So it may seem fitting that this fragrance reminds me of the slick windows of skyscrapers. A cosmopolitan pool landscape in a bottle. Opportunistic, synthetic and by no means unisex.
