Layton Replacement with Menthol Note
Building on my review of "Layton | Parfums de Marly," I would like to make a brief comparison of the two fragrances.

"Royal Chariot Attar | The Dua Brand / Dua Fragrances" is often referred to as "Layton on Steroids." While this statement seems fitting, I do not agree with it. The fragrance DNA of both scents is very similar; however, the DUA is complemented by a menthol note. The scent of the DUA is significantly stronger. This strength quickly overpowers everything, and there is no fine (noble) scent progression like with Layton. For me, the scent progression in the DUA hardly exists. The fragrance simply weakens very slowly. Craftsmanship-wise, I find Layton to be better.

Summary: I was more convinced by the strength of the DUA (weakness of Layton) than by the finer scent progression of Layton. The longevity of the DUA is about twice as long on my skin at 10 hours compared to Layton.

Attention, for those who do not know this: Attar is used at DUA to describe a fragrance oil concentration that is higher than the fragrance oil concentration in an Extrait de Parfum. The Attar should not be sprayed on clothing.

Allrounder Masterpiece
A popular fragrance from PDM that is suitable for many situations. The scent DNA is versatile. Compliments are guaranteed for the wearer.
Scent development: The fragrance starts with a sweet apple-vanilla mixture and gently evolves into a sweet-woody-spicy mix. This transition is smooth and takes a few hours after application on the skin to be fully completed.
Longevity: The longevity on my skin with one spray is about 6 hours. After 6 hours, the scent is only perceptible to me very close (nose pressed to the forearm).
When to wear: Only on hot summer days do I find the scent too heavy. Otherwise: Go for it. Please apply gently in the office.

The unfortunate topic of batches, reformulations, changes in natural resources, etc. unfortunately also affects Layton. I claim that older batches had a significantly higher longevity with very similar scent DNA. Otherwise, I cannot explain the reviews.

As a popular fragrance, there are also dupes for Layton. I have already tested "Royal Chariot Attar | The Dua Brand / Dua Fragrances". If interested, feel free to read the corresponding review there.

A Gentle Raspberry-Leather Blend
For those who are not yet familiar with "Sapphire Collection - London | Widian / AJ Arabia": Sillage is an extremely gentle and finely tuned leather fragrance with a sweet raspberry note. The first 20 minutes of this scent are already very warm and pleasant, but then follows one of the most beautiful and pleasing fragrance compositions I know. The exceedingly fine balance of the base with vanilla, leather, and musk combined with the clearly perceptible raspberry is magnificent. The oud is merely a companion in the overall scent that rounds it out but is never noticeable.

For those who already know "Sapphire Collection - London | Widian / AJ Arabia": In direct comparison, there are only slight differences in the fragrance notes compared to Sillage. Especially the fragrance DNA is recognizable. However, I find Sillage to be gentler and even more finely tuned than London. This is probably due to the saffron present in Sillage and a nuance of added sweetness. H+S are extremely good, although London scores one point higher. Sillage still lasts 10 hours on my skin.

Whom would I particularly recommend Sillage to? If you like Ombre Nomade or (especially and) "Ombré Leather Parfum | Tom Ford," then Sillage is like a blend of those upper scents with a gentle appearance.

A fantastic perfume!

Leather Jacket as Perfume
Those looking for a scent to match their outfit AND who enjoy wearing leather jackets will find what they're looking for here. I can't imagine a better fragrance to complement a leather jacket outfit than Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum. The scent starts off leathery and spicy but becomes increasingly sweeter over time. The fragrance has edges and is not "too rounded". An interesting scent with good longevity and sillage. It should also be mentioned that the Ombré Leather Parfum is significantly softer (with fewer edges and corners) than the Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum. In summary, I would say that the Eau de Parfum is a good complement to a leather jacket. In contrast, the parfum is a good complement to a leather bag.

Rosy Naxos Alternative or Deep Rose Scent?
The Anniversary comes across as cool-spicy and unidentifiable upon the first spray. However, within the first 30 minutes, the notes of tobacco and leather develop, accompanied by a dark rose and cloves. This reminds me of Christmas, but due to the rose, I believe this fragrance is not at all a Christmas scent and works independently outside the holiday season. The cinnamon is hardly noticeable to me. An interesting scent for which one must like rose. Those who read the notes of vanilla, tobacco, and cinnamon might think of "XJ 1861 Naxos | XerJoff," but I see no parallels. Naxos offers a fresher start and comes across as more masculine to me. The rose in Anniversary takes it in a completely different direction. Great rose scent with depth.
