Zimt Himmel

Alternative to Xerjoff Naxos?
As some may know, this fragrance is often associated with Xerjoff Naxos. With a lot of imagination, I can sense some similarities...

First of all, I must say that both fragrances are excellent. However, what stands out to me in direct comparison is that the Farmacia Anniversary opens much softer. When sprayed, both fragrances share their greatest similarity in my opinion. Only that Naxos really takes off right away...

As it develops, I clearly detect the rose and leather notes. The tobacco is only faintly present here. Cedarwood and saffron are also distinctly noticeable. I find the Anniversary to be much more suitable for everyday wear due to its soft character and a bit more wearable for normal daily activities.

It radiates moderately and never overwhelms its surroundings. It can be perceived up close for up to 8 hours. For me, it's a very appealing fragrance, but I wouldn't compare it to Naxos.

Difficult to describe. Slightly alcoholic, sweet, dry, herbal
The Anniversary is really difficult for me to describe.

It starts off slightly alcoholic for me. I can definitely perceive both the listed cinnamon and the listed orange blossom in the top notes. Additionally, clove comes to the forefront for me right away.

After a few moments, rose joins in support.
You can also perceive various spices. Vanilla is also recognizable.

The base is woody, with a hint of saffron.
The vanilla adds a certain flair.

Overall, it definitely has an alcoholic accent for me, spicy notes, a strong interplay of cinnamon, clove, orange blossom, and a bit of tobacco, as well as rose.

Everything also feels somewhat dry and in the dry down like a Christmas pastry that contains a lot of clove and is by no means a sugar bomb.

Longevity and sillage are solidly good.

Definitely not a blind buy in my opinion. Please test beforehand.

"Take Your Medicine."
Anyone familiar with the history of the perfume house Farmacia SS. Annunziata can place the headline in the appropriate context, as we are dealing here with a venerable Florentine pharmacy that now also offers various perfumes in its portfolio. The Anniversary is a birthday gift from the brand to itself to celebrate the 460th anniversary of the house. My respect. It’s not easy to achieve that.
Now to the scent itself. I bought it blind back then, as the fragrance notes sounded very exciting and the Anniversary received a lot of positive feedback on social media. Also decisive was the comparison to "Tobacco Vanille (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford," which I was able to smell at a friend's place and between which there should be a certain similarity. All in all, enough reasons to take a shot in the dark and purchase this perfume.
Let’s approach it layer by layer, starting with the outer packaging.
This appears minimally glamorous and maximally pragmatic. It is a simple cardboard box. Not even color is used for the print. Inside the box, you find a black fabric pouch, which in turn contains the bottle. Before anyone rolls their eyes because they expected more for their money, it should be noted that Farmacia is taking a consistent path towards sustainability and using recycled materials to keep the ecological footprint as small as possible. I find this very commendable, as at least I dispose of all packaging after a short time, and here only unnecessarily much waste and costs would arise if they were to go overboard at this point. But to be honest, one really doesn’t buy the Anniversary for the presentation.
Let’s go a layer deeper and focus on the bottle. Here you get a better idea of what you’ve spent your hard-earned money on. The body is made of trust-inspiring thick glass. On the sides, you can see plant leaves and flowers in the form of a relief. A nice detail. The cap is unremarkably made of black plastic and somewhat reminds me of the closure of a medicine bottle. On top, you can see the company logo.
Now let’s get to the scent. So, cap off, sprayer activated (pleasant resistance, very fine mist), and let the first impression sink in.
Here I must confess: I can only distinctly identify tobacco, minimal leather, and a bit of nutmeg and saffron (?). It may be that I lack certain reference points for comparison in this regard. Therefore, I will try my best to describe the scent from my perspective. At first, the scent strikes me as quite fresh, and additional associations arise such as warm-spicy, slightly sweet, deep, and also slightly balsamic. If I had to assign a consistency to the scent impression, I would place it somewhere between liquid and syrupy. It flows rather than drips. I perceive the overall olfactory construct as beautifully interwoven. The accords function more as a collective unit rather than as egotistical solo players. Occasionally, the thought crosses my mind that the olfactory bouquet might also suit a cough syrup. Not directly, I think. Nevertheless, the scent impression has something of a health tonic that I would gladly sip. The overall aroma here feels quite special. The Anniversary thus has a unique selling point. However, it does not exhibit a pronounced similarity to Tobacco Vanille by TF. I know other scents that do this more clearly. In the dry down, the Anniversary loses its initial freshness, becomes a bit sweeter and milder, and appears more organized. But yes, it’s a lovely thing. I do not regret this blind buy.
Also in terms of longevity and sillage, you get something offered. Not beast mode, but equally not a child of sadness. I would describe it as adequately corresponding to the price. Especially within the first hour, the projection is really good, and even after four hours, I am occasionally surrounded by the aroma of this fragrance. I am completely fine with that.
Lastly, a little tip from me: Test the Anniversary before buying. I was simply lucky with my choice. It is a bit too unique to go through as a blind buy.

A Gentle Companion…
Hello everyone.

So this is going to be my first review. I’ll give it a try…

I’m still very new to the niche scene. After a sample of Anniversaty, I was quite taken with it. Promptly, a bottle was ordered.

Yesterday was the day of the first proper wear. I can partially share the association that it is a “dark Naxos.” Sure, the DNA is similar. But the Anniversaty can do what the Naxos cannot. It glides along elegantly. While the Naxos screams loudly and draws everything to itself, the Anniversaty presents itself elegantly and gracefully steps back into the background. I wore it in the office, it had a great progression, and in the late drydown, it became sweet. I really liked it and it’s definitely worth a try.

Greetings from Berlin

Slight TF Tobacco vanilla vibes, but a little fresher with slight hints of anise. Doesn't really make my heart beat higher

A beautiful tobacco accord with a light, dry wheat note.
Orientally sweetly spiced.
Sandalwood a bit forward, but otherwise cozy.
A winter companion.*

Here I am again, rather disappointed: too boozy, sweet pipe tobacco scent with vanilla and cinnamon, and on top of that, unavoidable saffron.
