The perfume trap?
Did I fall into the perfume trap? Have I become a niche snob?
Actually I don't want to go to such a discussion level, because I can't do much with the drawers (think) niche/mainstream, but the statement in a statement about this scent has made me think.
Have I become a niche snob in all these years at Parfumo?!
I associate a niche snob with someone who finds per se niche fragrances better than mainstream fragrances, then my judgement would be rather no. I like to be blinded by the beautiful exterior, yes that happens. But this is absolutely human for me and you can discover it in every area of life..women, cars, clothes..so why not in perfumes too?!

In the last 3 weeks I made an interesting experience. For various reasons I didn't go around on Parfumo so often and constantly any longer and from the constant smell testing, evaluating, classifying etc. really had my nose full. Didn't have a single (niche) fragrance sample at hand, then with the last fragrance package came a sample from Percival, the new fragrance from Parfums de Marly.
I made him a statement, so ala "Drugstore-Backware in niche garb", because I just don't like shower gel scents like that, the Versace PH's, Invictus Aqua's and other products are just not my world, although I came out of 2013, before I had registered with Parfumo.
Nevertheless, I gave Percival considerably more chances than the comparable fragrances from this fragrance, which I always waved away in the Müller/Douglas. And yeaha..I liked Percival better and better, day after day, even though the fragrance experience seemed very familiar to me, of course, without finding a 100% hit, all somehow similar and yet different. What exactly? I don't know, the fragrance appeals to me in its spicy freshness and light sweetness. Have I already fallen for the niche robe? I think that the brand and the bottle in general somehow influences me to be more benevolent towards it, equating the price and the heavy bottle with value and quality. I'm already honest to myself, I can't exclude it completely in this case..and with other scents (meanwhile) also not (anymore). I only noticed over the weeks of abstinence that the fewer niche fragrances I tested, the less I read about them here (daily), the less I put perfume in the spotlight, i.e. more daily users (without thinking much about it) than obsessive collectors who screen fragrances from 100 angles, i have always searched for the best fragrance of the respective category, the more fun I found in such fragrances again, to simply wear them without great fuss and without rising white smoke, as I used to do when it was all about smelling good, at least to me.
I would have liked to find more fragrances full of character for me over the years. They fascinate me, would correspond better to my self-image, I thought at least, but I won't be happy with them in the long run, they just don't suit me, they don't create a feeling of well-being around me, they just give me a touch of exclusivity, the feeling of holding something special in my hand, which was somehow "important" to me for a long time, now I ask myself why!
I could have written these sentences about many fragrances and brands, but it was Percival who turned it around, holding the mirror in front of my nose. The last Lost Cherry comment just confirmed me again. I love niche scents, I've worn them too long for the wrong reasons. Percival has only paved the way "back" for me through his skilful camouflage, for light-hearted enjoyment, so it should be, but there will never be a black-and-white world for me, only one of my own nose-confidence.
Percival holds extraordinarily well, 8-9 hours go without problems, for a so-called freshness fragrance already times ne announcement, the Sillage is above average.
I just like its fruity freshness, somehow aquatic and yet somehow not, herb-spicy and slightly woody from the heart note.
If you are looking for an uncomplicated feel-good factor, if you like to smell like freshly showered and well-groomed, you are in good hands here. Also here I am quite honest, for the shop price of 200€ I would not have bought it for sure, but online you can get it for about 45% less, so it fit for me.

Oh oh Magnificent
Oh, oh
Only love, only love can leave such a mark
But only love, only love can heal such a scar
Oh, oh Magnificent

The lines from the great U2 song match this wonderful fragrance very well.

Magnificent Gold is really a protector, a single envelope, a scent that sends a pleasant shiver down your spine. The first white layer of the year is formed here just after a perpetual summer. Unbelievable..last week still T-shirt weather, now the down jacket must be demottet fast. My brain can't really process "the white one" out there yet and first it completely lowers my serotonin and pours out an extra load of melatonin. That's where MG comes in!
The scent radiates, shines extremely at the beginning, a golden vanilla bathed in light, more real pod than baking pouch, combined with a fine rum note, golden-brown shining, both so unbelievably finely balanced, my heart beats a few beats faster at once, warm blood circulation.
Noble vanilla and rum-da was something, yes it reminds of Spiritueuse Double Vanilla, also the quality of the paper doesn't fit in between anymore, also the discreet freshness in the background reminds of Guerlain's masterpiece. With MG, however, there is a subtle amber note in the background, often vanilla honey-sweet, sometimes with a slightly sweaty note, here golden shining, reminiscent of the "fossil amber" of SHL, although not quite the same quality.
The slightly dry wood note in the background can also be very pleasant for rounding and slight contrast, even though MG has already become very calm and discreet in this fragrance phase (after approx. 45-50 minutes). SDV only smelled like vanilla for me from the heart note, not on the back of my hand, but when you stood in the position of another person. MG has its correction of existence already alone by the wonderful, soft, cuddly smell carpet in the basis. Potpourris, open fireplace, angora underwear, underfloor heating or hot-water bottle can be safely forgotten, the scent is completely sufficient.
Conclusion: A really great fragrance, wonderful, heartwarming, high quality, but also with a discreet resemblance to our own velour, the bases are a little bit similar. The shelf life is good but not outstanding, the Sillage strong only in the first hour, is completely sufficient with this fragrance, since the habituation effect of the nose with vanilla occurs rather fast

The only mistake is his name!
Of course I would have preferred a stronger version of the Fahrenheit EDT (current version), but this will probably remain an unfulfilled dream. Or at least a "more full-bodied" or "rounder" edition of the EDT, would certainly have become a long runner.
I admit, I knew beforehand that he had nothing to do with the original scent, so of course I was not negatively surprised.
Because if you hide the name, you get a wonderful autumn and winter scent.
Of course you can smell the "famous" violets, just because I always associate violets with Fahrenheit. I did the same with Venice pour Homme, but I didn't succeed with Steampunk. What constituted the typical Fahrenheit has been clearly watered down here, the Aqua version is mixed with Fahrenheit32. Also a good portion of Absolute plays here. But the heart of the fragrance is clearly Myrre, which was used here green-spicy, minimally smoky and slightly vanilla-tipped. Similarly beautifully set in scene as with Armani's Myrrh Imperiale, which don't give much away in terms of quality.
The result is a wonderfully warm and enveloping fragrance that is nothing for Kelly Familiy fans, but a sensual and comfortable feeling.
No ultra-sweet gourmand, not sticky-sweet, but the gas station has had to close in the meantime.
The spirit, the soul of the original Fahrenheit, still floats lightly over it, but one must already smell exactly. If this is too little for you (understandable), you can take 1-2 sprayers from the EDT, then the whole thing tips into the masculine. But even without EDT-education, this is not a Blubberlutsch fragrance, because the vanilla does not appear as strong as I feared, dominates the fragrance at no time and still shows enough masculine edge.
Okay, I admit, besides the primordial Fahrenheit, many scents seem a little pink...
For me he's still guy enough, I feel poodle well so that, sometimes may also be slightly softer, if not that helps the EDT a little bit.
Conclusion: Great, independent fragrance with very nice myrrh accents, a hint of leather with a hint of fresh spiciness on top!
The durability and Sillage are above average good, but none is killed!

Voyeurism is in all of us, but not in this scent!
My father always brought apricot liqueur and Strohrum 80 from skiing in Austria. Voyeurism by Nimere reminds me exactly of a mix of both. Fruity sweetness of mirabelle plums and apricots meet here with a sweet-spicy, alcoholic note. The fragrance smells extremely aromatic and intense, the warmth of the fragrance immediately leaps over, a totally pleasant feeling quickly sets in. In the long run this would probably be too sweet-fruity, too monotonous, too exhausting for me. But already after a short time Voyeurisme becomes darker spicy, even a little smoky. For me there is a suede leather note available, which lets it become only a full-fledged smell. I can't recognize anything creaky or animalistic, rather butter-soft and wonderfully inserting. All in all, the fragrance looks very round and balanced on me anyway, tends to be a fine cuddler and dreamer and not a voyeur, yet I also find it slightly sexy, but it should be much colder outside.
No scent for work or going out, rather for sensual hours too far..best in front of an open fireplace in a snow-covered ski hut.
The durability is extremely good with over 8 hours, the Sillage is strong but not exaggerated.

Tipp-Ex would give you some color on your face?
You are chairman of the Sodoku Club in your town?
Your favorite hobby is anything with Excel spreadsheets?
You're 40, but you look like 70?
The weekend only disturbs your nice working week?
Fugenkitt is your life elixir?
You got kicked out of the stamp club because you were too restless?
You like to wave from motorway bridges?
Elephants are too colorful for you?
You think it's great when your white t-shirts finally have a grey tint?
Nobody in the company will know if you were there today or when you left?

You are GRAUsam?
You come from Graubünden or optionally from Osnabrück?

Biedermann is a compliment for you?
The only one listening to you is your grey hair dachshund?

Then take Romeo from Il Profumo and you'll have a
Camouflage suit, what sellers at Media Markt have long perfected, you now have to spray on, it will never appeal to you again, no matter where. So what are you waiting for? I'm sure there's one on the gray market...

The fragrance: a bore similar to aftershave, without charm and pizzazz, alcoholic and pale spicy, a lavender bag from the health food store is more exciting.
