Shaving foam in a bottle
After I was allowed to try the predecessor "DesirToxic | M. Micallef" the year before last, I have now participated in a sharing for the "DesirToxic L'Intense | M. Micallef".
Although as a retired "sports cigarette lover" I have learned to love the fragrance DNA of its predecessor (see heart note *cough cough*), its performance on the skin disappointed me a little.

All in all, it is almost the same composition, although the "toxic desire" (désir toxic en français) in L'intense is rather stimulated by the combination of mint and saffron. Furthermore, the notorious shaving foam note is always perceptible in both fragrances. In my opinion, however, this association does not have a negative connotation, especially as it is intended to express the invigorating and refreshing feeling of the fragrance composition. Furthermore, it is not just shaving foam, as the blackcurrant and cinnamon provide a sweet and spicy touch in both versions.

So what can L'intense do compared to the original?

Well 1. I perceive the predecessor to be a touch sweeter than L'intense.
2. the L'intense is more linear compared to the first release and also projects more strongly onto the skin.
Furthermore, in my experience, the first DesirToxic starts off sweet and spicy in the opening and then has traits of Dior Sauvage in the drydown (due to the combination of citrus and tonka bean).

While the predecessor can definitely be worn by both men and women, I wouldn't recommend L'intense to a woman unless she literally wants to get all the men off her back!

I like the L'intense a little more than its predecessor, especially as it projects much better on the skin and is more masculine.

السلام عليكم or simply salam alaikum!
Salam | Anfas" is a composition that has an absolutely rounded appearance.
By this I mean that the components we find here could not be better coordinated and harmonize wonderfully with each other.
In the same way as the Arabic greeting of peace (salam), which Muslim brothers and sisters use to greet each other warmly, the amber in the heart note is calming and comforting. It is gently enveloped by a fresh and floral note, while the sandalwood lends the fragrance a certain depth and oriental flair. In addition, the musk has a beguiling effect, making the fragrance irresistible and seemingly suitable for seducing one person or another.
In my opinion, the "Salam | Anfas" is even worth a blind buy..

Berlin Day & Night
It was in the spring of this year when I was allowed to smell this fragrance for the first time. Through quite a few recommendations and reviews that have highly praised the fragrance, my expectations rose exponentially with. Arriving in Berlin to visit my sister as well as other friends, I ended up in KaDeWe one day. An attentive and friendly employee introduced me to new perfume releases. When she held the bottle of "Gris Charnel Extrait" in front of my nose, I had to smile.

I knew at the same moment, when the fragrance molecules of the Extrait's have been captured by my sense of smell, which fragrance I will already wear in the fall. Most of all, I would not have wanted to wait. The Gris Charnel Extrait gives me a similar feel-good effect as the "Dior Homme Parfum | Dior", but the tonka bean and bourbon vanilla give the fragrance a sweet ravishing depth. While creations such as "Wūlóng Chá (Extrait de Parfum) | Nishane" project a fresh note of tea and fig, the black tea and fig appear in the Gris Charnel Extrait, in creamy symbiosis.

The durability is excellent, so that after the morning application to skin and clothing, I could still register the Extrait until late in the evening. The sillage is good and in my opinion tuned to perfection, as the fragrance follows the wearer rather than leaving traces in the wind.

une mémoire olfactive
olfacere: to smell, scent
perceive, sense

A light breeze blows past me. As I take my first breath, I notice a scent that I hadn't noticed before. I try to associate the scent with something I know. In vain. I look around me. Searching for a face, the source. It doesn't take long and my attention is drawn to her, a woman as God created her. My eyes catch a glimpse of long, straight red hair and a warm smile full of self-confidence. Her scent envelops my nose. I feel at ease, grounded, take another deep breath. My heart warms..
