Very interesting fragrance because its heavy, light, spicy, fresh at the same time like a perfect chameleon. VERY potent opening, my nostrils vere burning but it became pleasant after 1hour. I think this one's could work for everyday use and this is specially for those who enjoy cardamom or benzoi.

My Holy Grail!
This fragrance has actually prompted me to write my first review. I just can't help myself and would like to/need to share my impressions of this extraordinary masterpiece with you.

I'll start with the impressive bottle. After all, it's always the first thing we hold in our hands. And this is where the praise begins for me. Massive, heavy, impressive in structure and design, with a great cap that fits the overall look 100%. When you look at and handle the bottle, you realize that it can only be something strong and masculine. For me, this bottle is by far the highest quality and most beautiful I have ever held in my hands.

The handling and the design described naturally make me more and more curious. Zack...cap down...1x left and 1x right (don't worry...that's all you need) ... wait a moment and BAM! ... Damn, the hoped-for association with the bottle is a direct hit.
I would particularly like to emphasize the mint at the beginning. Absolutely brilliantly done! As the fragrance progresses, the mint flattens out and an absolutely masculine but also fresh aura emerges. WOW...that's what my wife said.

Finally masculinity without oud!!!

It projects enormously, it lasts about 12-15 hours on me, but that's just a side note. Fortunately, skin types and people are different, so just my opinion.

I think that if you're an experienced man who doesn't necessarily have to try to attract attention with a fragrance, this is just the thing for you. Because a man should be a bit of a match for DesirToxic L'Intense! What do I mean by that?

The surf boy doesn't fit here and even the nice inconspicuous runner should rather wear something else. But if "the Witcher" or "Superman" (they are the bosses in the ring) need a fragrance, because you can't save the world all the time, then in my opinion there would only be DesirToxic L'Intense!

So, enough words of praise. I have found my personal Holy Grail in this bottle. There is no way around it. It's just a very nice feeling when you can always drive a nice different car, but you can be sure that your dream car is always waiting in the garage at home to be driven with pleasure.

Shaving foam in a bottle
After I was allowed to try the predecessor DesirToxic the year before last, I have now participated in a sharing for the DesirToxic L'Intense.
Although as a retired "sports cigarette lover" I have learned to love the fragrance DNA of its predecessor (see heart note *cough cough*), its performance on the skin disappointed me a little.

All in all, it is almost the same composition, although the "toxic desire" (désir toxic en français) in L'intense is rather stimulated by the combination of mint and saffron. Furthermore, the notorious shaving foam note is always perceptible in both fragrances. In my opinion, however, this association does not have a negative connotation, especially as it is intended to express the invigorating and refreshing feeling of the fragrance composition. Furthermore, it is not just shaving foam, as the blackcurrant and cinnamon provide a sweet and spicy touch in both versions.

So what can L'intense do compared to the original?
Well 1. I perceive the predecessor to be a touch sweeter than L'intense.
2. the L'intense is more linear compared to the first release and also projects more strongly onto the skin.
Furthermore, in my experience, the first DesirToxic starts off sweet and spicy in the opening and then has traits of Dior Sauvage in the drydown (due to the combination of citrus and tonka bean).

While the predecessor can definitely be worn by both men and women, I wouldn't recommend L'intense to a woman unless she literally wants to get all the men off her back!

I like the L'intense a little more than its predecessor, especially as it projects much better on the skin and is more masculine.

Still designer for a niche price
I remember when I believed that the original DesirToxic was a worthwhile competitor to a scent like Layton. The free product flying around on YouTube and Instagram definitely can give off that sensation. On my first experience of the original DesirToxic, I actually felt like there was some of that there. And then 1 day before smelling this flanker, I downgraded my rating from 8.5 to 5.5. The original DesirToxic is in line with stereotypical sweet-masculine F-boy style fragrances, but due to the huge overload of tonka bean, the scent feels like it could easily be in Carolina Herrera's line of Bad Boy fragrances.

While the opening of the new DesirToxic L'Intense has a similar designer feel from the sweetness and tonka bean, the on-skin scent is a mild improvement over the original. The scent features a prominent woodiness this time around. At first it smelled a bit, dare I say, green and/or camphorous. It made me believe that the cannabis accord was still featured (in reality, it isn't). I notice the patchouli bringing a mild spicy flair in the base and I notice the black currant offering hints of fruitiness. However, I wouldn't say that fresh is a top 5 accord.

The core utility of the fragrance remains the same. The performance improvement is nonexistent as I get equal performance with the synthetic tones aiding performance on the original. The price mark-up is quite negligible, meaning the flanker is a little bit better in value. Both Micallef and Penhaligon's have produced fragrances in this genre and ultimately, the product of both houses (within the masculine sweet-aromatic class) smells closer to designer than they do to fragrances like Layton and even Papilefiko. Nothing to see here, move along people.

Tonka and musk heavy driven fougere but well balanced. Masculine mature audience will appreciate it. Sits between designer and niche realm.

Same sweet-designer tonka open. Drydown is better: woody, dare I say camphorous. Patchouli adds spiciness. A bit more mature than OG.
