Flanker That is Better Than the OG
Clarification: by "OG" I mean Poison Girl, not Poison.

I have been meaning to test this for a long time and recently bought a bottle at a very nice price from a girl who didn’t like it well enough. I don’t know if I would be so smitten with this scent if I bought it at full price at the store, but smitten I am.

This is everything I expected! Sweet and gourmand like Poison Girl EDT, yet with added zest and fizziness from ginger. Lovely hazelnut accent makes it unique, interesting, with a slightly autumnal mood. Not as powdery as the original Poison Girl – and it’s somehow a good thing. I love everything I can smell here – don’t see much development, just enjoy it all the way through.

The craziest thing: after some time, close to the evening, when I get a waft from what I spray in the morning on my skin, this citrus-rose-vanilla combo makes me think of Midnight Poison. Without that heady, dark, mysterious patchouli, of course – but that transparent sweet nectar. For me, this is the quintessence of the Poison line, and it’s def there in the Poison Girl Unexpected. My new favorite – for daytime at least. I will eternally miss Midnight Poison, but this one makes me feel a bit better – like seeing a photo of you, where you look remarkably like your dearly beloved departed relative. They aren't entirely gone. In a way, they continue in you. I guess perfumes too have family lines, ancestors, and descendants. Life goes on.

I wish this flanker had a bit more love from the community, because it's definitely worth the attention.

Snow White's apple
Sweet, juicy, delightful and irresistible just like the Snow White's poisonned apple: Poison Girl unexpected could be described with these words.
The most recent and fruity Poison's flanker is a true delight for girls of all ages .Let's discover why.
First of all, your nose is tickled by the ginger opening note, accompained by a light bitter orange note, vibrant and fizzy. The, the scent reveals its very feminine flowery heart made of Jasmine, rose and peony.
Finally, the warmer and sweeter notes of vanilla, tonka bean and musk, masterfully measured, not too heavy or sweetish. In comparison with the gourmand "Poison girl" , which is sweeter and warmer, this new release is a little bit fresher and perfect mainly in springtime. Maybe is this particularly juicy character which justifies the adjective "unexpected" because all the previous "poisonned creations"by Dior are warmer and heavier.
Anyway, the sillage is good although different because lighter and fizzier , but the main notes last on the skin for hours. Always very nice and refined the transparent bottle , in the style of the Poison collection.
The price is high, but the scent is really delightful and longlasting. Will you resist to this temptation?

Unexpectedly nice experience
As someone who already owns and loves Poison Girl EDT I was curious but cautious about Poison Girl Unexpected. For reference, I’ve tried the EDP too, but it leaned too heavy and too “churchy” for my taste.

Unexpected opens with a burst of fruitiness that feels young and a little bit “girly,” but not in a bubblegum, teen-fragrance way. It’s fun and fizzy upfront, but the magic really happens in the dry down. That’s where it turns sweet, soft, and beautifully powdery. The vanilla is there, but toned down compared to the EDT, giving this version a fresher, more skin-like vibe.

it lasts a solid 6 hours, just like my original Poison Girl EDT. The EDP outlasts both, clocking in at about 10 hours, but I honestly don’t need or want that level of intensity most days.

Sillage-wise, It’s one of those scents where only the people who come into your personal space will catch it.
Overall, I’m glad I gave it a shot. It may be called “Unexpected,” but it’s earned a place in my rotation.

On the bus, I feel very sexy!
* sigh *
As you know, I sometimes still struggle to test certain women's fragrances in a store. Especially when it's a scent like this one, which interests more women and girls than I would like :D

So I thought it would be a good idea to schedule my dentist appointment as early as possible, so that afterwards I could spray on some feminine fragrances, hoping that so early in the morning and especially during the week, there would be fewer women... um sorry, I mean fewer ladies bustling around. And yes, it was true, because shortly after the store opened, there weren't that many people inside. However, there was one guy who was in the women's section, examining every scent closely, but not the fragrances themselves, rather the prices, as I saw him comparing these prices with online prices on his phone, and eventually he finally left, allowing me to be ALONE in the women's section, mu ha ha ha. Of course, the first thing that came to mind was the new Prada Candy, specifically the Candy Sugar Pop, since I can only test these candy scents under the most extreme conditions (*sigh*), but unfortunately, it still wasn't out, so I guess I'll have to test the scent like all the other candies, trembling and full of fear, amidst a horde of women later... aaaaah...

But back to this scent here. Yes, I was able to spray it on in peace this time and even compare it (on the other arm) with the EDT of the fragrance. However, the journey home turned out to be a bit more difficult or strange than expected, but more on that later...

The scent:
Hmm, actually the scent starts almost like the EDT, just a bit less intense. That means it has a sweet scent of jasmine. The bitter oranges are less present at the beginning, in the top note, or I find them quite weak. Only from the heart note or when the jasmine becomes a bit weaker can you detect hints of bitter oranges, which to me smell a bit like the bitter yet beautiful peels of these oranges. Ginger is only briefly present when sprayed on, and you can only smell it if you sniff closely at the sprayed area and also know that ginger is in there (it's somewhat psychological, really :D).
Maritime notes are perceived now and then, but also only very faintly and for a short time.
Because jasmine dominates most of the time, making the scent smell the sweetest, and there are also slight rose notes as an additional floral note. The slightly darker sweetness that slowly appears from the base, along with the slightly powdery feeling, indicates the arrival of tonka bean and vanilla (tonka bean is initially the stronger note here), which then pairs well with the jasmine. Overall, the tonka bean and jasmine in this fragrance are somewhat weaker than in the EDT, making the scent feel a bit lighter.
Finally, in the later base, it smells more of tonka and vanilla, with vanilla now being the more intense scent note. A lovely fragrance, but I find this scent quite similar to the EDT overall.

The sillage and longevity:
The projection is quite good, as it leaves a nice scent cloud behind. Although not as strong as the EDT or EDP, you can still be pleasantly scented with this fragrance, even over normal distances and not just up close.
The longevity is also high, so the scent lasts longer than ten hours, depending on the dosage.

The bottle:
The bottle hasn't changed again, but it doesn't need to, as it still looks beautiful with its apple shape. The fragrance liquid is now slightly lighter. There is still no label, so the name of the fragrance is on the front of the bottle, with the name "Unexpected" written in a cursive-like font that looks nice. As I said, the bottle is once again very successful.

Yes, I find the Unexpected good as expected :D
However, the differences to the EDT are too small, so EDT users can actually skip this fragrance unless they want a slightly weaker scent, as the sillage here is slightly weaker than in the EDT, but this difference is also rather minor. Lower dosed, the fragrance is also good for spring... well, both during the day and (or especially) when going out.

So,... you know, on my way home, I was wearing a cardigan because I didn't want to emit a large, sweet-feminine scent cloud that everyone could immediately notice, as the city was quite crowded, and I also had to get on the bus, which only comes every 30 minutes and is therefore ALWAYS really full. And especially on the bus, I wanted to avoid smelling so strongly of this women's fragrance here :D
Well, due to the warm weather, it got hotter and hotter in the bus than outside. So I was forced to take off the cardigan. You could already smell my fragrance a bit through the cardigan at the sleeves, but I didn't know where it was coming from. But now, when I took it off, I unleashed a HUGE scent cloud. The scent cloud of a sexy women's fragrance!!!

I don't even want to know what people thought, but luckily many were too busy with their smartphones today, yet I still saw some slightly confused faces (from both genders) *sigh* I mean, someone who hasn't shaved for a few days and therefore has a slightly thicker beard than usual, and also carries a Batman bag, suddenly starts smelling of floral-sweet notes... aaargh, I think I'll never take this bus again! :D

But as for you ladies, I would suggest testing this fragrance; I liked it, and I'm sure it would smell great and sexy on you!

... hmpf, now I also have to wash my cardigan because the sleeves still smell extremely like a sexy woman! :D

Years ago the poison in green, today in pink....
It was years ago when I fell in love at first sight with the then absolute novelty: Tendre Poison. The bright green, fresh and cheerful, dreamy and sooo girlish! I desired the scent and the bottle! I was a girl and Tendre Poison was made for me! The color, the poisonous floral sweet dream scent!
And today? I still stroll through perfume shops and...see a round pink bottle, shimmering, glowing. So beautiful! I am no longer a girl, yet deep in my soul I have remained the same and feel magically drawn to the beautiful bottle, my eyes, which now need glasses for reading and are surrounded by more and more wrinkles, shine and I reach out curiously for the perfume just like years ago. This time: Girl Poison!
It is supposed to be unexpected, the pink poison with a bit of black...
No, there’s nothing of the Poison here, and everything else is expected, so what one would know from the original Girl: almonds, tonka, rose, and vanilla. But it is indeed a bit different: it begins with a cheerful portion of freshness: it’s supposed to be ginger, but it is very harmonious mixed with vanilla and jasmine. In the drydown, a delicate slightly spicy - fresh yet almondy warm sweet powder cloud emerges.
Unexpected is, however, my conclusion: of the 3 Poison Girls, I find this one the most beautiful: a bit dreamy, quite girlish, yet not naive or too girly: simply charming, joyful, and light, like a pink sunshine in the middle of the dark dreary winter! I need this so much right now, that little bit of pink, just like back then that little bit of green :)

Longevity and sillage are fine.

Valentine's Day is soon, and I’m considering, should I treat myself to this sunshine for the festival of love? One must first love oneself so that others can love us...or something like that? ;)
The green poison brings so many memories, perhaps the pink one will bring them back after all these years? :)

Somehow not unexpected - that the scent is milked until it’s dead, I definitely expected that!

I'm speechless at how someone could ruin this scent! I have to wash it off because it makes me feel weird. Bitter/salty sweetness. Why something like this? No thanks!

Does anyone still remember the Bebe Holiday Skin Lotion? That's exactly how it smells, with a hint of self-tanner. I love it! Hello again, summer 2005 :)

Not a girly scent, but an independent, mature creation, slightly wild yet delicate, good drydown with tonka.
Unexpected indeed.

Hüfe, for the scent I was already too old at 15! It's good, what a shame!
