If it ain't what it says
With a name like Herbae, I think of something herbaceous, very green without much else going on. All that is "Herbae | L'Occitane en Provence" not.
The prelude is very fruity, I perceive here next to the specified bergamot already the blackberry. But not only the fruit, but the whole bush including leaves. Thus, the fragrance is not sweet, but quite slightly green - fits the color of the bottle.
I can also sniff the sage, it underlines the slightly green character very well.
The wild rose holds back nobly.
Sweet grass also mixes with, musk fluff one discovers only if one sniffs very closely.
The fragrance remains soft, light and pleasant, you will never tarnish with it. Great do not stand out either (especially since the sillage is quite restrained), but sometimes you do not want that at all, but simply a fragrance to feel good.
And that is "Herbae | L'Occitane en Provence" for me absolutely.
A nice everyday companion for the office or leisure, for the great appearance in the evening it may then already be something more substantial.

Citric with masculine bonds
The XerJoffs and I are so far somehow not really warmed to each other. I found the tested though by no means bad, but so right is the spark somehow not yet jumped and I could not quite understand the hype.
Therefore, I ventured a new test, this time with a fragrance described as citrus. I like these very much and the pyramid sounded very promising.

The fragrance also starts right off with a very citrusy opening, with slightly bitter notes resonating. It smells more like the peel of citrus rather than ripe flesh. Something I haven't smelled in this form before and I really like it. Unfortunately for me, a note creeps in almost immediately that I find very masculine. Fascinatingly, I do not perceive this when I smell directly on the wrist, but it is rather in the scent veil, which rises to my nose when I do not concentrate so much on the perfume sniffing.

At the same time, I can not make out exactly what this fragrance is, it's just there and present. If you look at the distribution between female and male users, the male owners also clearly predominate with just under 90%. I share based on this impression this Einschäzung, but still would not say that the label "unisex" is completely wrong.

After an hour, this masculine note disappears namely and the base notes take over. The fragrance is soft and sweeter and has nothing in common with the citrusy prelude. The scent progression I like very well (even if I seem to skip the middle part, floral is with me namely nothing )and here I also recognize great perfumers art and can quite guess why XerJoff is so highly traded here in the forum.

Nevertheless, it is with "XJ 1861 Renaissance | XerJoff" not a fragrance that triggers a have feeling with me. So I enjoy my filling and also leave this XerJoff to people who really appreciate him.

Lilac Path or A Drop d'Issey? Lilac Scent Duel
I love the smell of lilacs and can't help but stick my nose into every lilac blossom I come across in spring. That's why this spring I was looking for an authentic lilac scent and ended up with "Lilac Path | Aerin", which I really like. When I then read about "A Drop d'Issey | Issey Miyake", I was immediately gecatcht due to the fragrance notes and knew I must absolutely test sniffing.

The fragrance starts immediately with a neat note of lilac, but doesn't seem pungent or stale and, I think, a touch more modern compared to the Aerin - maybe the almond milk? Besides the lilac, the other fragrance notes don't really come out on my skin, from start to finish it remains a very pleasant lilac scent with minimal creamy hints.

The sillage is moderate, the durability quite ok - but this to judge I'm not the right anyway, because my skin simply "absorbs" fragrances.
All in all, a great lilac fragrance, but since I'm so satisfied with "Lilac Path | Aerin" and the fragrances do not differ enough for me to keep both, "A Drop d'Issey | Issey Miyake" must unfortunately move out again - especially since I do not find the flacon so beautiful and Aerin has for me here clearly the nose in front.
But who is looking for an authentic lilac fragrance, can access here quietly, but you get for the price a really great floral fragrance offered

Soft as cashmere, cuddly as silk
First of all, I am not a fan of the bottle. I prefer transparent glass, through which I can see the liquid, but that is a personal preference and has nothing to do with the fragrance per se. Nichstdestotrotz I find that here fragrance and bottle do not really fit together.
With "This Is Her! | Zadig & Voltaire" it is a very wonderful warm creamy feel-good fragrance, the bottle seems to me rather like a flashy "In Your Face" and not as cuddly as I feel him.

The individual fragrance components listed I can not smell except for vanilla and chestnut, but silk and cashmere also do not necessarily have an inherent smell for me, but rather evoke associations through their feel. And soft and cuddly fit as attributes very well to this fragrance.

As sweet as he is described here more often I find him not at all. Of course, it is not a tart perfume and alone by the vanilla rather in the sweet direction to settle, but it is not so that I get a toothache just from smelling, because the sweetness creeps into my nose. I find it very harmonious together with the chestnut note, which to me actually smells like sweet chestnuts.

Unfortunately, the durability is really miserable with me, I have however meanwhile my skin in suspicion to be simply an extreme Duftfresser, since I have this problem also with other fragrances. Therefore, I would not say that it is generally a performance problem.

For me rather an autumn and winter fragrance, I prefer in the spring but more floral fragrances and in the summer citrus and fruity notes, but at the moment I wear him in this November weather in the middle of May very happy to brighten the mood at least something.

Gris Dior, the Godmother Embrace
This scent reminds me incredibly of my godmother, Gitta. The best friend of my mother and for me extended family.
She is always on hand with advice and action, has supported me financially during my studies and incredibly great holidays with me. Through her I have discovered my love of France, the interest in old movies (especially with Audrey Hepburn) and many a visit to the theater and musicals made possible. Our interests are very much alike, so despite the age difference, I always enjoyed spending time with her and it never felt like a chore, but always the purest of pleasures.

While I was always glad she wasn't my birth mom (too lucky), I was incredibly grateful that she was such a great "bonus mom" to me, especially after my mom passed away.
She never married and has no children of her own, but has nine godchildren she has always been very involved with (still is to some extent).
Gitta is for me the epitome of a strong, independent woman and exactly that embodies this fragrance for me. On me, it seems insanely mature and more like business lady like my godmother is one instead of after KopfindenWolken, as I often am.

The only fragrance notes I can not name so exactly, because they are incredibly finely intertwined, but after a fairly fresh, citrusy beginning (which did not particularly convince me, too ordinary and already smelled several times), the fragrance becomes wonderfully creamy-spicy as it progresses, but never sweet or ordinary.

He expresses for me a very special security and waved me discreetly, but clearly perceptible even after hours (in this respect remarkable, because I'm otherwise rather "blessed" with a fragrance eater skin).
The association to Gitta is, however, also the reason why I will probably not buy my own bottle, but will give it to her as a gift to thank her for her 30 years of godmother-use for me.
