Gourmandnisi

I usually have my problems with unisex fragrances. Basically, I like sweet - sweeter - sweetest. Vanilla is essential for me. But this Givenchy range does something to me. I have long counted L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge among my favorites. Now I have also taken a liking to this version. This fragrance paired with the right outfit really gives me a boost. It makes me feel confident and sexy. It's not one of those sweet, innocent girly fragrances. It's not what the nice girl next door wears. If you wear this fragrance, you know what you want and what you radiate. Going out for dinner in a little black dress? This is your fragrance. You have a hot date? This is your fragrance. It definitely wants to be worn in the evening, wants to be shown off and smelled. If I want to be the beauty in black, the fragrance is my companion. Oh, you see what I'm getting at. The fragrance is sexy and gives me girl boss vibes. Period.

As already sufficiently described here, the fragrance actually smells like a combination of Velvet Tonka and Le Bain Eau de Parfum to me. I don't really like either fragrance. The Joop smells too vintage to me, the BDK too madamy.
Strangely enough, I find the Tonka quite successful. For me, it brings out the best of these two fragrances and combines them in one bottle. Even if it doesn't smell as fine and high-quality compared to Velvet T. But it is creamy, sophisticated and gives me rich vibes. It can underline a well-groomed, stylish appearance well. Layered with Eclaire, it's a dream for the cold season.
Bottle and packaging really well done. I think it's worth the hype this time.

I ordered the fragrance blindly because it was advertised online as being almost identical to Eclair or BL. And in my opinion I can say no, not at all. If then I would compare it with Intimate Silhouette. But for me, the Zara fragrance has such a sharp, pungent note that makes it impossible for me to wear it. Really unpleasant, which is also confirmed by those around me. It does have this creamy, beautiful vanilla mixed with BR vibes. But it smells like someone has poured a drop of fuel into the perfume. For me, it doesn't go with the otherwise beautiful fragrance. The fragrance is also very oily and lasts an extremely long time. For lovers of the fragrance, this is an advantage. But terrible for me, even after washing it off with soap it stings my nose.

After extensive testing of my bottling, I now know what it reminds me of. Of a horse stable. I don't mean unpleasant or like manure.
When the hall is filled with fresh wood shavings. You stand in the paddock and brush your horse. There is hay in the stable. Like a mixture of this hall and the horses. And vanilla scent has been sprayed in the hall. That's exactly what it smells like to me.
On my skin at least. I can't say that I don't like the scent. It's quite interesting, but I wouldn't want to smell like that. And the name of the fragrance makes me expect something else. At least it reminds me of my youth in the riding stable.

I have to say I bought the fragrance because it is supposed to smell very similar to "Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 | Kayali". But I have never tested it. But since I love Kayali, I thought I couldn't go too far wrong with it.
Well, I like the scent but I was expecting something different. I thought it would go in a nutty, milky direction. Described as pistachio ice cream, I was thinking of the full gourmand drone. But I don't get any of that. To my nose, this scent smells rather creamy and soapy. I used to have a Palmolive shower gel, which is exactly what this scent reminds me of. It makes me smell clean and freshly showered or lotioned. I think it's quite ok for the price. It just didn't meet my expectations.
