Once again a review of a Lattafa. Many of these brands simply deserve a review because, like many others from Dubai, they are totally worth the money and simply smell much more expensive. Here is another Lattafa from the great Pride line, which contains many great treasures. A very cozy fragrance for the cold Christmas season that you can also wear on cold days around Christmas. For around 30€ per 100ml, it's a fragrance that I can absolutely recommend. In addition, this Affection is sooo pleasing without being 0815, which is mainly due to the pistachio.
The packaging of the Pride collection is quite voluminous. While the Art of Arabia/Nature boxes look rather classy, this one looks absolutely trashy and isn't really pretty either. As I usually never keep packaging anyway, I don't care. The bottle is okay, even if it doesn't look all that respectable. Affection with a planted LOVE, which possibly stands for the pistachios. I always think to myself: it's the content that counts.
Affection is a pistachio fragrance. Anyone who likes this note will get their money's worth without spending a fortune on it. According to the Parfumo community, it is similar to "Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 | Kayali" by Kayali. I can't say anything about it, as I haven't tested anything from this brand yet. But it's quite possible, as the pyramids are roughly similar. This Affection roughly reminds me of
Pi Eau de Toilette, which I absolutely love wearing. The pistachio comes through more here, of course, but the two have a similarly smooth vibe.
As I said, Affection is a fragrance that I can recommend unconditionally. Well spent 30€ if you are looking for a cozy sweet scent with sex appeal. In addition, with pistachio you get a very hyped note that is currently very popular (which is also due to this overrated Dubai chocolate). Pistachio is definitely a note that has been sorely lacking in fragrances over the years. Here it comes out very well in the opening. This great pistachio note is also accompanied by a beautifully sweet, nutty hazelnut note at the start. This opening is already very gourmand without being too heavy, as this pistachio-nut combination is rather soft and sensual. As the fragrance progresses, milky-creamy notes are added, for which the lactone note is responsible. Floral notes are also well interwoven, so that they play along gently without being in the foreground. Tonka vanilla is also very present throughout, which of course always goes well with gourmand notes such as pistachio and hazelnut. This Affection is very soft throughout, without being really weak in the sillage. The vibes are cozy through and through and this fragrance is perfect for uncomfortable temperatures or a cozy evening on the couch. There are plenty of ways to wear it in the cooler months.
Performance is good as usual with Lattafa. I have not yet tested 100% durability, but this fragrance lasts at least 8 hours. The sillage is also really pleasant and radiates really well for the first 4 hours. This fragrance is 100% unisex, especially if you like notes like pistachio. The fragrance is of course very tame, which should be clear to everyone with these notes. This fragrance will be very well received, I'm sure of that.
All in all, a great pistachio-hazelnut fragrance. You can treat yourself in the cold season.
