Who stole the coconut?
I gave myself a catchy tune right at the beginning. But now to the fragrance :)

Many people associate this fragrance with coconut and therefore smell a coconut note, but that's not the case for me. I can understand where the thought comes from and the scent is nice and milky, creamy, creamy on me too, but the coconut summer feeling from the beach is missing.

The fragrance comes in a high-quality OVP in a drawstring bag. Just from the pictures you see on the internet, I thought the bottle and the lid looked really awful and cheap - but contrary to expectations, it is very heavy and everything is of high quality. First of all: even though I didn't pay €250, this fragrance is definitely worth it for me.

I really enjoy the fragrance because of its contrasts. In terms of fragrance character, it is so delicate, lactonic and sweet - but in terms of presence and cloudiness alone, it could put some rose-oud combinations in the shade. I don't smell a scent that changes too much, but I smell myself and do so for an entire day - without it bothering me or those around me or giving me a headache. I mainly get milk, a very soft tuberose far removed from chewing gum, subtle incense that you can sense in the background and a vanilla-tonka combination at its finest.

I see Blanche Bête in all seasons and on all occasions if I'm honest. Absolute signature potential! I've already received a lot of compliments. It makes me feel safe, snuggled up, feminine, delicate and well-groomed. Despite its gourmand character, it never becomes too edible on me - I often can't handle that. It retains a noble, perfume-like character. For me, one of the best purchases of 2023.

P.S.: Anyone who owns Amouage Guidance should try layering the two. In low doses, you can always sniff both fragrances and they complement each other beautifully. The Blanche Bête dampens down the Guidance somewhat and you float in a creamy cloud of incense.
