Limitless Shopping Via della Spiga Trussardi 2020

I finally got my hands on a bottle of this fragrance after it was looking like it was discontinued. Thankfully, that no longer seems like it's true! Whew, I'm so thankful for restock notices!

I own another from this house that I love so much and this one is no exception. This is quite gourmand to me! It smells like biting into a juicy apple, and marzipan candy from the old school italian bakeries near my home. It also reminds me of Amaretto liquer with a powdery drydown, I'm assuming this almondy/powderiness is from the tonka. The further into the drydown it gets, the better. I'm only hoping that as this ages, it lasts a little longer because I find that after about an hour it sits close to skin. I'll have to use it more to get a better sense.

I had recently smelled and wante to purchase Love Delight by Amouage but this is quite close without being a dupe and only a fraction of the cost.

this is a perfume that hardly would fall in my preferences but it does! It's fun and light with no seriousness, it's a juicy red apple juice mixed with almond milk and sweetened by flower honey. So uplifting and interesting the perfume is not boring at all. The perfect perfume for happy memories, like for a bride or for a wedding. Apple scents that I enjoy often smell like autumnal spicy apple pastries or red candy apples. The ones I dislike smell like screechy green apple bubblegum flavor or boring shampoo. This one stands out from all of them and balances the fine line between floral and gourmand.

It's warm and sweet due to the intense honey note, but more versatile than the typical spicy autumn harvest apple pie scents.
The white florals and musk are very creamy and dense in this, making the fragrance feel clean and suitable for all seasons. I sometimes have problems with honey turning dirty and ugly on my skin, this does not happen here.
Hawthorne and heliotrope add some extra sweet floral accents. The base is warm and a bit ambery to me, even though there are no such notes listed.

I find this soft in character, but still intense and enveloping.
For some reason I would find it especially fitting for a cold early spring day, when you want to transition to fruity and floral scents, but still need some warmth and comfort.

Yesterday, I visited my trusted niche perfumery with a friend. We sniffed our way through everything and saw a customer take this fragrance to the checkout. I had somehow always walked past Trussardi. But this piqued our curiosity: it must be good if the man chose this one out of all the fragrances.

Sprayed on the back of my hand, I was head over heels in love from second one. That was a total wow moment! But first, let’s talk about the details. The bottle appears high-quality and heavy, the spray head is premium, and you get 100ml for a retail price of €170.

The scent starts fruity-fresh with an apple note. I’m usually quite sensitive to apple, as it can quickly smell very synthetic and give me headaches. That’s not the case here, even though I perceive it for a bit longer than just 5 minutes. Honey (not from the supermarket, but fresh from the beekeeper) and white flowers join in. I don’t get any rose.

At the same time, the scent becomes quite creamy for me, almost lactonic. I suspect that Heliotropin is responsible for this. But I completely share the association of vanilla-milk-almond-bath. I really feel the need to immerse myself in it; it smells so good to my nose. Tonka and musk round it off even more. For me, the scent leans very feminine, but that doesn’t exclude the possibility that it can also be very appealing on a man!

So here I am in the perfumery, unable to take my nose off my wrist. This is exactly my kind of scent. I open Parfumo in the store and check out the fragrance's page. And lo and behold, created by my favorite perfumer Quentin Bisch. I don’t know what this man puts in his fragrances, but I love them all to bits. And the funny thing is, I always notice it only afterward. I love the Delinas, Good Girl Blush, Guidance, and now this one - they are all super feminine and have that certain something.

Longevity and sillage are really decent! Not a beast, but noticeable. And that made the buying decision clear. It moved in yesterday, and I’m super excited to indulge in it from now on.

Wearable all year round, you can interpret it however you like. In autumn/winter, a nice hot milk with honey; in spring/summer, a creamy, milky lotion with a honey scent.
