Cini Minnis
CINI MINIS is a delicious cereal children's breakfast with an irresistible cinnamon taste...
So it says in the description of these breakfast cereals,
Wait...
Wrong forum...
Or not??
It's about Halston Z-14 Eau de Cologne, current version.
Well I must say, the neck tone beats quite a lot at the beginning, but quickly becomes calmer and finally lies down quite gently to fade away.
It begins pungent citric and very extreme after being sprayed on. It is loud. Very loud. First thought: Eugh, wash it off immediately.
But I pulled myself together and behold, the lemon butterfly unfolds for 5 long minutes and cinnamon appears. Bombastic loads of Cini Minnies rain from oversized cereal keys into my olfactory center. It also reminds me of Christmas and this fragrance lamp in our kitchen, which smells so good of blood orange-cinnamon scented oil during the Advent season. So the throat tone first swishes through the area, becomes rounder, the sting from the beginning is gone and you almost feel like a refreshing Big Red chewing gum. Although the cinnamon never tastes sweet but remains warm and spicy.
2 hours have passed, the charm of the 70s floats through the apartment. Spicy, incensey and discreetly it hangs in the air and on me. It is no longer loud but still present. The lemon still flashes through here and there, and I feel like a walking cinnamon stick in herbs and light incense
Towards the end it gets a little mossy and minimally soapy and the lemon-cinnamon fun rises to the finale and leaves the stage.
Conclusion: You can indulge yourself and do a little time travel, somehow you waddle with Halston through a few nice hours and for the price, which is called on various online pages for the current version, you can access without hesitation. If you like cinnamon as the main scent, you'll get your money's worth here, too.
Finally I would like to mention the fancy bottle the neck tone is filled in. It is mMn so ugly and retro that I have to give 9 points for the bottle for this extravagance in the bathroom cabinet alone ;)

Thanks for reading

From top to bottom or down
From top to bottom or downwards, that means that B683 starts well but then unfortunately slackens a little towards the base.
But now from the beginning:
B683...unusual name, sounds like a chemical lab, test series, prototype or something scientific. But it's not. After a short research in the net the solution of the riddle is found, Mr. Barrois alludes to the name of the planet of the Little Prince (well-known children's book). So B683 is supposed to be the fragrance planet of Barrois or something similar...well, the explanation of the name so far. Does not arouse any emotions and so I continue with the fragrance:
Start after spraying 1 splash each behind the ears and 2 on the wrist, SPICY and LEATHER. Wow, a flattering force from mom's spice rack and dad's old briefcase tickles my nose. The saffron sticks out a little bit more than the pepper but it doesn't get too prickly and fortunately I don't have to sneeze. The leather that is probably produced by the violet is relatively velvety for my impression. This spectacle keeps well in a small cloud around me for the first half hour. The cloud is present but does not kill anyone. Very pleasant and also not too obtrusive. Little by little the overall impression becomes rounder, the spicy one warps a little and a slightly sweet fruity note joins the leather. That loosens up the whole thing somehow and presents everything a little rounder. From the heart note on I feel the fragrance to be relatively angular and soft anyway. A light touch of bittersweet medicine resonates in the background, maybe the labdanum. Reminds me quite remotely of Antaeus...such an interplay of cistus leather and medicine. And unfortunately, the part that is not as great as the previous one comes along...a slightly dextrose-bitter ambroxan note is pushed through and that's it. That remains with me with a hint of suede until the end after about 6 hours and B683 has faded away.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the scent and can imagine wearing it regularly but after the great start, the rather ordinary smelling ambrox bed at the base is a little disappointing. If something more original had come along, I would have given at least 9 points. But in the end it is only a spice suitable for everyday use with a short WOW-effect. The overall impression of the Sillage was not too bad, but I don't think the fragrance has to be taken into account in a negative way, because it is sometimes pleasant if you don't hit everyone in the surrounding area with your perfume olfactorically on the twelve. It's definitely worth trying if you like leather and spice, but whether it's worth its price is another question.
Today it has accompanied me nicely through a few hours of the day and if it were cheaper, it might even be worth buying.
But B683 will not land on my planet for the time being

Shaving Foam Deluxe
In the morning in the bathroom, the sun is shining through the window, the morning program is playing quietly on the radio. It is warm in the bathroom and a towel loosely wrapped around your hips is enough to keep you warm. Hot water runs into the sink and creates a steamy atmosphere, the wet shaver is ready for use and next to it is a large green can of shaving foam. I spray the foam generously into my hand and start soaping my beard. While doing so I deeply breathe in the unmistakable scent of a refreshing and at the same time relaxing shave ...

That's roughly how I feel about the fragrance At the Barber's. My association probably comes from the fact that I have never been to a barbershop and therefore only know the ritual of wet shaving from the bathroom at home. I got the fragrance as a free sample and now after two days of testing I want to share my impressions.

The course starts spicy fresh with herbs and lavender, the bitter orange I smell less. But after a short time this typical oakmoss tonka scent is added and in this condition it stays with me. What bothers me a little is a slightly creamy note that seems a little artificial and in my opinion could possibly come from the tonka bean. I only smell this note when I sniff directly on the skin, but unfortunately this is enough to make At the Barber's disappear as a candidate for purchase for me.
For me it has somehow a similarity with the drydown of Azzaro pour homme, only without the aniseed note.

Durability was super about 8-10 hours a breeze wet shave blew me again and again around the ears. Sillage was moderately close rather than room filling.

I can only judge flacon design from the pictures, because I only had one sample tube, but it looks quite good in principle. Therefore I can unfortunately not say anything about the quality of the spray head and the haptics.

To sum up, for me a beautiful pleasant fragrance. Unfortunately one point deduction because of the cream note which I do not like completely but otherwise really great

It was definitely worth a test :)

The new one from Dior
First of all, I find Dior's marketing strategy rather misleading as regards the naming of the new fragrance. But getting upset about it is probably a waste of time, which is why I want to leave it at that. The name will not change anyway.
Whether the new fragrance is mainstream and should therefore be bad, just because it is supposed to please many people, is something that everyone has to decide for themselves. I personally have to like a fragrance and I don't care if it is extraordinary and rare or if it is worn by the masses. I got a sample at the last visit to "D."
Now to the fragrance itself:
Shortly after spraying it on my skin I surprisingly smell almost nothing at first...and then slowly something comes up that reminds me of Bleu de Chanel. Sparkling orange or probably the bergamot. This smell will be with me until the drydown. Gradually something soapy and woody notes are added. In any case it remains dry and fresh as freshly showered. At this stage the fragrance then stands for a while. When it gets weaker and goes into the base I find it a little sweetish even a little cinnamony, but still woody. Somehow I find the Drydown a bit oldschool or no idea what else to call it. I simply have the feeling that I smelled the scent before I was a child
Shelf life is about 5 to 6 hours with all the trimmings. After that, he's just gone.
Sillage is pretty weak with me. Initially about arm's length, after 2 to 3 hours only very close.
I am a little disappointed with durability and sillage. Other eau de toilettes can do more
I actually find the scent itself quite good and pleasant, even quite pleasant. But he just comes very very reserved and weak with me and that is a big minus point for me.
Short summary:
Yes, I like it, yes many others will probably like it too, no I probably won't buy it because it won't last long enough for me

And all the time I have the feeling that this smell has been there before...

(That was my first comment here. So please be merciful with me...)
