Sauvage Elixir as a Smoky Cola Drinker
The similarity to Sauvage Elixir is undeniable, but I wouldn't call it a 1:1 clone.

To my nose, the two are about 80% identical, but the Asad reminds me more of a smokier twin of the Elixir, which exudes a distinct cola note.

Overall, the scent is quite heavy, although fresher notes and a powdery aspect also come into play.

From my perspective, it is definitely not a blind buy candidate or something for men under 30, as the fragrance has a more rugged/masculine vibe and lacks anything youthful or light/playful.

The longevity on my skin is phenomenal; I consistently perceive the scent throughout the day. I would estimate around 9-10 hours, but the fragrance loses significant potency after about 6-7 hours.

Aquatic-Fruity Shaving Foam
After being really impressed by the golden twin from Confidential, I took the plunge and bought this one blind as well.

The Platinum is a true clean man’s scent, which initially smells very fresh and lemony, and over time develops a more masculine twist that can be well compared to the typical scent of shaving foam.

Personally, I also detect a subtle, underlying sweet/fruity note and woody elements that give the perfume a certain something and take away its dullness.

The Confidential Platinum definitely falls into the crowd-pleaser category, with which you won't step on anyone's toes.

On the other hand, it is also not an extravagant scent that reinvents the wheel.

Rather, it’s a perfume that allows for comparisons to other fragrances and reminds me personally of a mix of Chanel AHS, Invictus, and Mont Blanc Explorer.

The longevity is adequate, perceivable on clothing and skin for about 5-6 hours, but after about 3 hours, the sillage is noticeably weaker.

For the price, it’s still more than okay!

The Inner Values Matter
Inside good, outside bad.
I think that describes Detour Noir quite well.

If I saw the bottle in a perfume store, I would probably pay not to have to smell the scent. After all, the bottle is SO incredibly ugly that the assumption of a similarly dreadful content is more than obvious.

But: What applies to people and literature often also applies to fragrances:
The inner values matter.

And Detour, aka "Layton on a budget," has really impressed me a lot.
Every time I smell it, I melt away for a moment.

To me, it smells like a fresh apple pie with a large amount of vanilla and almonds. In the first few minutes, it is very fresh and zesty, and then becomes more balanced and sociable by the minute.

I actually believe that I have never had a fragrance for which I received so many compliments from people outside my usual circle (family & friends).

Longevity and sillage are outrageously good for the price. On clothing, the scent easily lasts 24 hours; depending on the material, even the washing machine can't get rid of it.

The Fruit Bomb Bursts
Compared to its namesake, Confidential Platinum, the Gold really convinced me.

Well, they are probably fraternal twins.

While the silver brother is more of a reserved companion, blending into the uniformity of fresh scents, the golden Confidential truly fires on all cylinders.

What I find exciting: While the Platinum clearly positions itself in the men's department, the Gold can't quite make up its mind.

Here, the classification "Unisex" hits the mark perfectly. Very sweet, very fruity, very loud.

After my girlfriend wore this perfume for the first time, I understood what she meant by "room fragrance"...

After 4-5 sprays, the entire apartment really smells of it. However, the overall scent is very balanced and rounded, but also quite peach-heavy, in my opinion.

Longevity and sillage are, in my experience, above average; sometimes my skin still smells of it even after showering.

On the jacket, for example, the scent is even noticeably present days later.

More suited for leisure or evenings, not necessarily the best choice for the office.

For the price: A safe blind buy!
(For those who enjoy synthetic sweetness and fruit)

Mango-like Compliment Magnet
Ambassador is one of those fragrances that I found a bit too overpowering the first time I smelled it, but with each subsequent encounter (or sniff), I fell a little more in love.

What can I say?

The scent is fruity/sweet, with a strong emphasis on mango and a (slight) pleasant freshness, along with subtle vanilla undertones that create a perfect balance.

The longevity on my skin is more than sufficient - easily 5-6 hours with strong projection, after which it becomes more intimate.

On clothing, the stuff even survives the washing machine at times.

In my opinion, it is a very enveloping scent - without being intrusive.

Accordingly, the reactions (and compliments) are, from my perspective, pre-programmed.
