Frighteningly close to Blonde Amber - Drydown then exposes the 'Cheapie'
Once again proof that Lattafa is getting better and better. The opening is very similar to XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber, especially on the test strip. On the skin and then from the 2nd hour or in the drydown, however, you realize that it noticeably lacks complexity and power. But spoilers already: The 40-50€ can be spent blindly and with a clear conscience.

Immediately after spraying it on, I get blonde amber vibes.
This striking mixture of sweet-fruity herb davana, wood, sweetness from the date (probably decisive) and a very light, young, rather sweeter tobacco is immediately familiar.
I don't smell bergamot directly; it may add a slight acidity to the davana spice, but you can't smell it out.

After 30-45 minutes, the sweetness becomes even spicier. The (sandal) wood moves to the forefront and the tonka bean also beckons. Nevertheless, this resinous, dripping sweetness from the date is still the main protagonist. Even though it is not specified, I somehow still detect cocoa in the background.

You know when ripe dates are soaked in this sugar or glucose syrup and you smell them? It's that almost overwhelming (fruit) sugar bomb. Paired with frankincense or myrrh.

After 1.5 hours: The fragrance has changed little. The drydown is rather boring and you can already tell that the fragrance is nowhere near as complex as its predecessor. The durability and sillage are also decreasing.
I get a slight chewing gum vibe because I smell BIG RED. Just replace the cinnamon with dates. Once again, you notice that the davana-myrrh combination is a really great match.

After 2.5 hours: the sweetness gradually subsides. I am grateful for this, because half my arm has rarely been so resinous-sweet :D
Metaphorically speaking, you can now see how the liquid, sweetness and sugar are being sucked out of the date and it is starting to shrivel. At this point at the latest, you also realize that you have a cheapie in front of you: The date does not smell of high quality, but the woody-spicy construct does not destroy the fragrance.

Sillage continues to decrease significantly. You have to stand a little closer to me now to get a whiff of it.
The durability is still good, it still radiates a little and is not yet close to the skin.

Its DNA is at its most beautiful between 1.5-2.5 hours.

After 3.5h: The wort becomes less and less. Over the next hour, it crystallizes further in the direction it will take until its end after approx. 9h: Dripping resin meets dried date and then flows down onto wood.

After 6.5 hours: The Art of Arabia III can only be smelled very close to the skin. The date-like sweetness becomes darker, I can even still detect slight hints of smoke, but you can tell that the fragrance is only giving off its last twitches ;-)

--------

Conclusion:
An absolute banger from Lattafa.
For around €50, you get one of the finest night-out and date fragrances I've ever had the pleasure of smelling from the Cheapie range. It performs much better on the test strip than on the skin, because after 10 hours the room still let the whole room know "I'm here, I'm loud!" -- on the skin it does this for the first 1.5 hours.

The AoA 3 is absolutely unisex
Definitely for the colder seasons.
By no means a daily - it's too loud and somehow too "classy" to want to wear this beautiful fragrance every day.

No alcohol. No synthetic vibes. All in all, the fragrance is extremely round - if it weren't for the durability and sillage. But hey - we're talking about a 50€ perfume here ...

Unrestricted purchase recommendation. One of the best cheapies!

Very helpful Review 7
Lattafa simply delivers.
Art of Arabia III is a spicy, sweet, warm fragrance for the colder days of the year and once again Lattafa shows what they can do.
This fragrance smells super nice and especially with time it gains more and more depth and becomes more and more rounded.

It's nice at first, but somehow I smell something of a kind of plum, which I don't quite like and seems a bit "unrounded" to me.
There is also a very gentle hint of bergamot and actually a slightly smoky haze. The smoky haze doesn't seem quite well balanced to me either, but it's okay.

However, this totally elegant date sweetness can already be recognized in the background. This also becomes more intense over time.
A soft tobacco is added, as well as a few winter spices such as cinnamon.
Furthermore, there is once again this great sandalwood.

It then becomes even sweeter, but never too sweet or even overwhelmingly sweet for me.
Tonka bean, vanilla and labdanum are at work and they do it really well.
Labdanum is a great fragrance anyway, which deserves much more attention.

All in all, we have a really nice unisex fragrance here, which has a great price-performance ratio thanks to its nice DNA and appealing performance.

Wood can be soft
Art of Arabia III is a beautiful, soft fragrance that presents a new (for me) direction in Arabian scents. The top note combines davana with resinous olibanum and a hint of tangy bergamot, which gives the fragrance an inviting opening. Sweet dates, tuberose, tobacco and creamy sandalwood unfold in the heart, lending the perfume depth and sensuality. The base notes of tonka bean, myrrh, vanilla, ambery labdanum and (barely perceptible) patchouli ensure a long-lasting, complex finish. So it's not that run-of-the-mill rose-oud combination (even if it can be just as good), but a new fragrance experience that I can't quite put my finger on.

This about the fragrance itself. Now to the second important point: what exactly is this fragrance supposed to be?
The answer to this is pretty simple. If you look at "Smells similar", you will see XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber at the top. And whoever tests it will hopefully not be annoyed that he or she has just spent a lot of money on a fragrance that is also available at a much lower price, but will be pleased that he or she has only smelled the tester in the perfumery and can now order the fragrance twin from Lattafa.

Because even though there are many other good dupes of many other good fragrances, the copies usually lack strength and staying power. That's definitely not the case here, because I've just got out of the shower and I can still smell it. Where I have taken the price into consideration in other reviews in terms of durability and sillage, I thankfully waive this argument here, because a good-natured rating is definitely not necessary here.

For me, a clear 10/10, although I would understand the "not masculine enough" argument. If you like tart, harsh fragrances, you're in the wrong place, because this fragrance is a pleasant, soft sensation.

I'm sorry if that sounds a bit exaggerated for some people, but I just couldn't help myself ;)

The magic of wood and spice
It's hard to describe this perfume because I've really never smelled anything like it anywhere else. Associations that people often brought up are woody, spicy and a sauna vibe, but in a specific way. Here are a few of my experiences with this perfume: At first, this strong, tangy, spicy, penetrating scent was hard for me to take but I got used to it and got positive feedback. The development of the fragrance is really fascinating. After the strong, spicy and tart opening, it becomes softer, almost balsamic, reminiscent of precious wood heated in a sauna. The fragrance remains intense, but gains depth over time. It is sometimes more dominant, sometimes more subtle, depending on the surroundings. It unfolds even more strongly in cool weather. Friends have described it as charismatic and different. It stands out without being overpowering. This fragrance is truly unique and perfect for someone looking for something special.

Comes surprisingly close to royalty
For just a tenth of the price of Blonde Amber, you get a surprisingly similar fragrance signature here. It doesn't quite reach the complexity of the original, but I don't expect that for this price difference. My recommendation is to spray it directly onto your clothes.
--------
20% fragrance oil content provides a warm, enveloping presence. Dates, tonka bean and vanilla wrap themselves around the senses like a soft scarf, while bergamot and patchouli weave in a juicy freshness. A fine spiciness runs like a thread through the fragrance without ever being overpowering.

I see it for the masses on special evenings, or a date.
For me personally also on relaxed and slightly cooler afternoons - perhaps in a cozy gray jogging suit, a cup of coffee in hand, while the sky outside is cloudy. A fragrance to switch off, feel good and enjoy - and one that proves that royal luxury doesn't have to be expensive.

A comfortable blend of sweet dates, warm spices, woods and smooth tobacco, gently enveloped in a veil of light smoke. Great for colder days.
