Never sought, but luckily found anyway.
WOW! Actually, I could just stop here, because I really lack the words.
How BEAUTIFUL is "Cuir Béluga | Guerlain," please?
Well, I'll try anyway:
You get a powdery straw flower combined with sweet suede wrapped in vanilla. It's not at all cloyingly sweet and, in my eyes, smells very elegant and alluring. Since I've never smelled anything comparable before, describing it is not that easy. So definitely a very graceful and enchanting powder scent with many exciting facets. It reminds me a bit of freshly bought, very high-quality makeup powder with a delicate leather note (still sweet due to the vanilla) as soon as the sun shines on it. Add a few spring-like floral scents, and you get "Cuir Béluga | Guerlain." Incredibly beautiful, incredibly feminine, and the epitome of a dream fragrance. I know, that all sounds a bit vague and not really tangible, but it's really hard to find the right words here. That rarely happens to me. It's simply unique and something very special, and I hope that comes across.
H/S is typically Guerlain: very long-lasting, intense, and high-quality. It's quite an expensive indulgence, but you get a lot in return. You can wear it pretty much anytime: whether during the day, in the evening for a chic night out, in winter, spring, summer, etc. It just fits every occasion and elevates nearly every life situation.

Well, I’ll just go on dreaming about this wonderful scent....

A Floral-Powdery Vanilla Dream
So now it's official: Powdery clean scents have truly become my thing since Parfumo.
Even though I usually lean towards "loud" fragrances, "Ana Abiyedh Poudrée | Lattafa / لطافة" has once again captivated me. There’s something in it that triggers a strong craving within me. Already more than convinced by "Pure Musk | Lattafa / لطافة," this treasure sneaked around the corner, and what can I say? The excitement was so great that I had to order the bottle in the very next breath.

Now to the scent itself:
It simply represents femininity and cleanliness in a bottle for me. Just imagine the cleanest, most powdery, and softest scent you know, with a light floral note from some rose, a delicate hint of spice from saffron, and a harmonious/not too sweet vanilla with a touch of caramel. "Ana Abiyedh Poudrée | Lattafa / لطافة" is simply enchanting in its composition. It’s not too much and not too little, and preferably a perfect linear everyday fragrance for any season and situation. Whether it also bears the mentioned similarity to "Black Tie | Celine" is unfortunately unknown to me. But for not even €20.00, you can expect a longevity of about 6-8 hours, and the sillage is definitely strong enough to be perceived very positively by those around you.

A true beauty that has finally made its way into my perfume collection.

Good things sometimes take time
Just as it often happens in life, not everything can be liked at first encounter.
Although that’s not entirely true, I did like it... just not for me or on me. The Shaghaf Oud Azraq Eau de Parfum was, after the first spray, more of a very masculine-dominated men's fragrance for me, with a slight sweet undertone, woody nuances, and a strong niche character. Exactly the combination that I find very alluring and attractive on a man. If I had to choose, it is even the most beautiful scent I could imagine on my boyfriend, but unfortunately, he found it a tad too sweet to want to wear it himself (we're still working on that).

The journey with the Shaghaf Oud Azraq Eau de Parfum continued for a few more days, and it was extensively tested on me. Suddenly, a beautiful aroma of pure honey developed on my skin. But vanilla, cinnamon, and oud also playfully joined in and embraced me in a harmonious symphony. I perceived the fragrance completely differently all of a sudden. Still unisex, but certainly wearable for her, especially if one enjoys something striking and extravagant.

After this wonderful discovery, I certainly wore the scent for a good 10-12 hours, and even after showering, the Shaghaf Oud Azraq Eau de Parfum was still easily detectable close to the skin. The sillage was so strong that my boyfriend could even smell where I was while shopping. So once again, Swiss Arabian has conjured up a wonderful fragrance for the colder season. Preferably due to its deep character, it’s more suited for the evening, but if you don’t overdo the dosage, it’s also wearable during the day.

Sometimes it just takes a bit of time to ultimately find each other.

A summery feel-good cocktail to fall in love with
Anyone who may have stumbled upon one or another of my reviews knows that I am an absolute fan of Swiss Arabian. I have rarely discovered such wonderful fragrances that perform so well and are also more than fairly priced. Setting aside H/S for now, as it surpasses everything anyway.

One of my favorites is Shaghaf Oud Ahmar Eau de Parfum and it is already my summer fragrance for 2024. I can already see myself this year on a well-deserved vacation at a beautiful sandy beach, gazing at the wonderfully blue ocean, basking in the sun, rocking this scent. On the side, a refreshing fruity cocktail in hand with those sweet little glitter umbrellas on top and a few freshly cut pieces of melon to snack on. Life couldn't be more beautiful, could it? At least I have rarely experienced a summer fragrance that is more beautiful! With it, good mood and summer anticipation are already pre-programmed. Whether during the day by the pool/beach, strolling through the beautiful city, or in the evening at dinner, Shaghaf Oud Ahmar Eau de Parfum is the right "dress" for any occasion and always makes a statement.
Anyone who knows and loves Kirkè Extrait de Parfum, "Erba Pura | XerJoff", Velvet Fantasy, or "Confidential Private Gold | Lattafa / لطافة" will find this Swiss Arabian fragrance to be just right. It reflects (for me) the best of all the mentioned fragrances and adds its own character to create something truly wonderful.

I have already hinted at it in the first lines, H/S and P/L are absolutely amazing! No further words are needed on that.

I can only wholeheartedly recommend this bottle full of joy for life to everyone!

The Main Character that Overshadows Everyone
Either you love it, or you hate it. Luckily, I belong to the group that is absolutely smitten with it.
When I bought Shaghaf Oud Eau de Parfum blind (!) last year, I had no idea what to expect behind this golden gate. I was already familiar with the Arabic fragrance world, but this candidate is an absolute beast. Even though I wouldn't necessarily recommend everyone to buy such a dominant scent blindly, the purchase has fortunately paid off for me.

In the opening, I am first overwhelmed by a wave of saffron, rose, and praline. The oud (even if it is only synthetic oud) also plays a very important role here and is very realistically captured. The oud note nicely rounds off the individual fragrance nuances and adds a bit of oriental spice, which is well recognizable throughout the fragrance's development. I perceive the scent as very intense and sweet, but you definitely can't call it a gourmand. As it dries down, I am left with an aphrodisiac chocolate note on my skin.
Shaghaf Oud Eau de Parfum is suitable for both her and him. However, it should definitely be said in advance: Please do not wear it in the summer in the office at 35 degrees. The longevity and sillage are out of this universe! You will be smelled when you enter the room, but even after you've long left. It’s still there even after showering. I have never experienced this with any fragrance before.

I understand the many controversial opinions about "Shaghaf Oud / شغف عود (Eau de Parfum) | Swiss Arabian," because the Main Character cannot always be liked by everyone.
