lives up to the hype
I am usually very skeptical when something is praised to the skies by everyone. This is also the case with perfumes.
That's why I somehow always have a bad feeling when fragrances are praised everywhere. Sometimes it makes me feel a bit stupid, but I can't stop it :D
Well, Naxos has definitely taught me to give such fragrances a chance (sometimes they're hype for a reason ^^).
I just love this smoky honey/vanilla note that stays with me for at least 8 hours. The citrusy notes that come out every now and then make the fragrance perfectly rounded for me as a citrus fragrance lover.
I can wear it on both warmer and colder days for pretty much any occasion and often receive compliments.
The fragrance is simply a must-have in my collection! :)

Finally the cherry I was looking for
I have been looking for the perfect cherry fragrance for me personally for a long time.
Whenever I was in one of the next biggest cities and visited a perfumery there, I always asked directly for cherry fragrances for the last 2-3 months.
From TF Lost Cherry to Clive Christian Hedonistic, everything was there, but none of them convinced me to buy one.
I had almost given up hope one evening when I was casually looking through perfume videos on YouTube again. I was just about to go to sleep when I heard "cherry scent" in one of the videos. My curiosity was piqued, but I was expecting one of the various fragrances I already knew.
i then heard "Gritti - Duchessa", thought about it for a moment and came to the conclusion that I had never actually heard of this fragrance before.
I immediately switched off the video and went to Parfumo (at the time I didn't use the site regularly).
I looked at the fragrance pyramid and immediately decided to test the fragrance as soon as possible.
As I come from the village, didn't know anything about the souk and didn't even think of looking for bottlings, I only had the option of buying blind.
Normally I don't buy fragrances blind, but I've been looking for a cherry fragrance for so long that I fell for it (I'm sure many people know something similar :D).
After 3 days, the package finally arrived. I was so excited that I even left work a little early.
So I got home, threw my jacket on the sofa and picked up the parcel from the terrace.
I eagerly opened the packaging and took out what I thought was a really beautiful fragrance. I sprayed it directly onto a tester and was immediately smitten.
I was shockingly in love with this beautiful dark cherry note paired with the marzipan.
I can't smell much more than that, but it was exactly what I wanted.
After extensive testing, I can now also say that both the durability and the sillage are above average for me. No beastmode performance, but you can definitely smell it for 7-8 hours.
If you like cherry fragrances and have never tried this one, you should do so as soon as possible! :D

A warm, rainy day on Heligoland
During our summer vacation in 2023 in Büsum on the North Sea, we decided to visit the island of Heligoland for the very first time after all the years we had been returning here again and again.
Anyone who knows Heligoland knows that there's not much to see there. A nice town center (if you can call it that) surrounded by various duty-free stores.
As I buy a fragrance as a souvenir every time I go on vacation and then associate it with me forever, I naturally had to visit one of these stores.
So I smelled my way through all the stores and pretended that not every store had the same selection.
At the time, I was still a complete beginner when it came to perfumes. I had only just started to really get to grips with fragrances, but I had already smelled pretty much every kind of scent.
So it was always something special for me to smell a fragrance that was completely new to me.
And there it was, the Bvlgari Man Rain Essence. In my opinion, not a very pretty bottle, surrounded by a younger couple who had just been recommended the fragrance by a saleswoman.
I listened a little inconspicuously and, after the two of them had decided against the fragrance, decided to spray it on.
I wasn't expecting much because, as I said, I didn't find the bottle very appealing.
But the fragrance won me over straight away! It reminded me of the generally rainy day on this beautiful little island. For me, it was the scent of Heligoland to take with me, so to speak.
When I wear the fragrance today and close my eyes, I see myself sitting in a beach chair by the sea on Heligoland in the evening in a light drizzle at around 23 degrees with my favorite music in my ears and enjoying the moment.
So much for my not really objective opinion of this fragrance. Many thanks to everyone who actually read through it. :D
From a purely objective point of view, I find the fragrance really nice, but not particularly special. In the meantime, I've smelled a few fragrances that were at least similar.
Unfortunately, I find the durability/sillage very weak.
This was my first review on Parfumo, so don't be too harsh. :D
