I want to live inside this bottle
The perfect, unparalleled perfume for the fresh & cool.
Bubble Bath by Maison Margiela is a form of therapy for me. Gentle, calm and delicate, a few sprays of Bubble Bath and you'll feel enveloped in a warm, fluffy cloud of comfort and cleanliness. I haven't found a perfume that comes close to the feelings this provokes.
Musk, subtle coconut and sudsy flora - If you're looking for a clean, fresh and non-offensive perfume, I highly recommend this.
Kind of Overbearing
I'm not fan of powerful and heavy perfumes, so YSL Libre didn't work for me, unfortunately. The smell of overbearing florals and chemical s gave me a headache.
However, I can still list the positive aspects for those who favour heavier perfumes:
- A little goes a long way - the scent can be smelled from afar
- It's long-lasting
- Libre leaves a definite trail
- The bottle is beautifully elegant
If you wear YSL Libre, I hope we're not stuck in an elevator together x
Dark Cherry (hold the fruit)
If you're a fan of the original Black Opium, the Over Red version is a fabulous twist to a favourite.
Addictive and comforting, the vanilla and coffee sparkles with a dark chocolate cherry warmth. I expected a juicier and fresher cherry profile but since buying and wearing this perfume, I'm absolutely loving the slightly darker and mysterious scent of the cherry instead.
Dark, smooth, slightly mysterious and very delicious.
Try before you buy!
This perfume has mixed reviews on various platforms because of it's unique molecular structure: a single ingredient called Cetalox.
Not A Perfume will smell differently on everyone. Case in point - it had no effect on my mother's skin, it smelled like bleach on my friend's skin and smelled delicious on me and on my cousin. I therefore highly recommend you try the perfume in store before buying, otherwise it's a risk to blind buy! (The cause - I believe - for many unhappy reviews...)
Personally, this perfume smelled divine on my skin. A clean, fresh vanilla scent with a warm amber base. I'm obsessed with this perfume and if it reacts well to your skin, it's bound to become a signature favourite of yours.
