I want to live inside this bottle

The perfect, unparalleled perfume for the fresh & cool.

Bubble Bath by Maison Margiela is a form of therapy for me. Gentle, calm and delicate, a few sprays of Bubble Bath and you'll feel enveloped in a warm, fluffy cloud of comfort and cleanliness. I haven't found a perfume that comes close to the feelings this provokes.

Musk, subtle coconut and sudsy flora - If you're looking for a clean, fresh and non-offensive perfume, I highly recommend this.

Nice at first

I was surprised at how great this perfume smelled upon first application. Of course, I was expecting it smell like an actual bubble bath, but it did not. It instead smelled a little bit soapy but definitely not like you would think it would smell. It has a peppery smell with some florals right underneath it. Nothing shocking or that shouts in your face, just a subtle scent.
It ends with an incense, which is patchouli.
I was more interested in it on first spray than I was at the end notes and I definitely won’t be buying this one, but it was a fun trial!

Eternal bubbles

Scent exactly as advertised by the name. Bubble bath is reminiscent to me of a weekend evening spent on self love and care. I'm submerged in a bath with coconut milk dissolved in the water, and washing myself with fancy soaps saved just for this occasion.

There is a real uniqueness here for me. The scent is creamy, of course, but also fresh at the same time. Like how a nice moisturizer tends to linger on your skin after wear. If you are worried about the base notes being overtly coconutty, I wouldn't worry too much - it dries down less so after only half an hour, leaving you with the soap and musk notes.

The sillage was somewhere in the middle, but I found that it was bigger than most Maison Margiela perfumes I've tried so far in the tester kit. Equally, the wear was a lot better, and survived for a good eight hours - something other scents in the kit failed at.

I really recommend this one. It's a unique experience that's perfect for every day wear all year round. Pleasant and warming, like a hot bath waiting for you to jump in.

Lovely bath scent

I purchased this mainly for the clean notes (soap and musk) and I cannot say I'm disappointed, especially with the fresh dry down. The fragrance lives up to its name and cleanliness is exactly what you're gonna get out of it. I was scared of the coconut note but thankfully, I seem to be completely nose blind to it (perhaps I'm used to smelling more synthetic and obnoxious coconuts). My overall experience is positive but there are many other clean 'everyday' perfumes that are more interesting than this one. I don't see myself wearing this to work but I will definitely use it at home or in other comfortable settings right after a shower.

Soapy, bubbly and warm

This was my most anticipated scent from the Replica discovery set, and I was quite worried that it wouldn't be what I wanted it to be. Coconut being one of the base notes had me concerned that it would be overpowering, like the coconut cream that really put me off of Beach Walk.

Initially, I wasn't quite sure about Bubble Bath. I think I had this idea in my head of what it would be like - soapy, steamy, almost chemically clean. This fragrance definitely isn't that, and for the first half an hour of wearing it I was really on the fence with how it made me feel. It took about another hour for the patchouli and musk to come through, and by then I knew exactly what this scent was about - and I was firmly on board.

Bubble Bath is a fragrance that captures the moment you've just got out of the bath. Soap suds might still cling to your shoulders, there's warmth in the air and a lovely creamy scent of body lotion. You're wrapped in a warm towel, and enjoying a few more moments of calm before stepping back into the real world.

This scent is surprisingly long lasting, especially for a Maison Margiela Replica fragrance - I've found many others in this set lacking in their longevity. However, even after a full day of being out and about I was still able to smell this quite clearly. It's hypnotically addictive, something about it had me holding my wrist to my nose at multiple points throughout the day.

Definitely one of the better scents from the discovery kit, and maybe the only one so far that I'd be interested in purchasing a full bottle of.
