Herbaceous Sweetness
to me, the initial application smells like strawberries and basil. This feels very refreshing and different from the other Ari perfumes. It does transform into a more tart raspberry after a few minutes, but I still get the herb scent underneath the sweetness. Other than the unique opening, this turns into a pretty generic sweet musky coconut scent, and the longevity isn't amazing. I will likely finish the dabber bottle I have, but not repurchase it. This scent profile does make me want to find a strawberry basil perfume with better longevity and complexity.

Not for me
There is something about this scent that I really don’t like. I think it’s the cooked apple scent in there, it does remind me of by the fireplace by Replica because it has that same smoky caramel quality that I did not enjoy in either. It smells like fall decor, not so much cookies or kisses. I think if you want a more toned down By the Fireplace this would be a good option for you

Reminds me of….
I had a collection of PINK by VS body mists as a teen, and Light Blue reminds me of the Cool&Bright mist. I got a bottle of Light Blue a few years ago and almost finished the bottle, but I cant seem to finish the last 20% of any of my bottles, i guess i want to keep them around for future smelling. I outgrew this scent a bit, but now going back and smelling it after a few years brings me back to a brighter and lighter world. I’m a sucker for the apple in this, although i do find it a bit syrupy at times. i think the citrus and apple combined create a mandarin accord, as i smell that more than the other fruits. it’s a mood booster for me, and there is a nice scent memory, but i don’t see myself buying another bottle. it’s longevity is pretty short, and it sits close to the skin. it’s a good freshie as long as you don’t mind reapplying. you can find similar scent profiles for less, but if you find this at ross for $30 like i did, it’s a great perfume!

More like IN the Fireplace
I somehow keep ending up with samples of this. I forced myself to finish at least one of them, and I actually dreaded putting this on. Some days it was palatable, and became a more complex blend of woods and spices. Most days I was choking on smoke, with an unbearably sweet cloying caramel residual. I wore this on colder days, but I do live in a warm climate and this scent is never necessary for me. Not sure what I’ll do with the two other samples I have, because I’m never putting this on again. I really tried to like this but it is not for me.

It really is delightful. Yum!
I got this as a sample from a Sephora bundle. I haven’t had much faith in the Replica line (besides Jazz Club which was my first grown up purchase), they’re mostly simple or unbelievably overpowering. Afternoon Delight was a pleasant surprise. Like a dusting of powdered sugar in a bakery. The complexity shows up from a very realistic crumb/butter scent that still throws me off when it shows up. It does go away after a little to leave a deep lactonic vanilla extract close to the skin. I don’t get nose blind to this which is always a plus for me. I really wasn’t expecting to like this so much but I keep coming back to this sample out of all the others. I do not get the rancid note that so many others seem to get, but this is probably skin chemistry.
