Rather Trekking Sandal
I ordered a sample on the recommendation of an influencer. Expectation: a fine fragrance composition, sexy-elegant. Unfortunately, that is not the case. I don't find the scent as unpleasant as it is sometimes described here. It is fresh-floral with a strong spicy note. I perceive lily of the valley less than the rose geranium. When it has completely dried down, a bit of incense comes through. The spiciness saves the high heel from being categorized in the cleaning product scent direction. But this dominant soapy scent... It doesn't just come across as very plain, but also somehow "cheap" and thoroughly scrubbed after a long, sweaty day outdoors. It is certainly desirable to smell expensive for little money, but the other way around... that just doesn't work for me ;-)

After the Kitchen Fire…
The fragrance concept and name do not make sense to me. The listed scent notes sound very promising and the name… But there is no talk of a "hint," and unfortunately, no waffles either. Instead, it just smells burnt in my nose. So much so that I can't even say there's a burnt waffle/salted caramel/cream involved. It could be anything, probably something from the kitchen that is more charred black than just a little burnt. Along with an indeterminate spicy note. I made the mistake of spraying the sample on my skin in joyful anticipation. The H/S is bombastic, that much I can say; the scent proved to be hardly removable and was still clearly noticeable on my clothes days later. So really only something for a very specific taste; some here seem to find it quite okay.
The expectation that the scent might evoke childhood memories has been fulfilled for me, just differently than I thought. Because when I was about 10, our toaster once caught fire. And what remained of the contents back then was roughly equivalent to "a whiff of waffle cone"….

Still great in 2025
If this fragrance hadn't already existed in the 80s, it could surely be marketed today as a special niche scent, probably selling for 200 euros instead of 30. Okay, the bottle would probably need to be replaced as well…. But the scent itself has everything it needs, including impressive longevity and sillage. It is powerfully sweet-floral, but with a special twist in the base, where besides vanilla, sandalwood and incense also play a role. I find it timelessly good, not for the office, but a friendly companion for leisure and going out. Despite the child-woman in the advertisement, I wouldn't want to assign it to any specific age group, as it is rather heavy.

Edel-Vanille 24/7
One of the most beautiful vanilla fragrances ever, starting off with a very light citrus-fruity note, followed immediately by bitter almond which remains present later in the vanilla/tonka base. Here I can actually perceive the listed notes. A feel-good scent like a hug, nothing disturbs, everything feels rounded and lovingly intertwined. Orchidée Vanille, thanks to its subtle sillage, is primarily a pleasure for oneself and thus suitable for work. Probably created more for women, but I can also very well imagine it on a man,

Rather Herbaceous and Masculine
The top note comes across a bit medicinal because the blood orange is not only quite dominant but also has a very bitter quality. The blend with mint seems only partially suitable to change that. I do not perceive the sweetness of dried fruits. The scent is unisex, but tends to be more masculine. For the gentlemen, it is definitely worth a try. After about an hour, the incense appears, beautifully subtle. However, the bitterness does not completely disappear even in the base, which is unfortunately a disturbing factor for me. Sillage is moderate and perfectly fine. Overall, I see it more suited for the cooler seasons.
