Serviced since 2016.....
To describe the scent, I have to expand a bit.
It was 2016 and I was finally lucky enough to get my hands on a coveted Tomorrowland ticket.
The anticipation was huge and the organizers know how to make the hype around the festival even bigger: Send out elaborate treasure chests with the admission wristband and everyone posts it on social media.
in 2016, the theme was: The Elixir of Life and in addition to the beautiful bracelet, the treasure chest contained an amulet with a solid perfume that simply smelled magical.
Slightly vanilla, unisex, not too sweet, and yes, a little sexy too...
The fragrance also accompanied me to the festival and it was hard to put into words. The people, the music, the scenery, even though I'm not built close to the water, I cried more than once at the festival from pure joy.

So, since 2016, I've been waiting for a Tomorrowland perfume...for
'The Elixir of Life'
And then last year my prayers were answered, when I saw it I ordered it IMMEDIATELY!
When it finally arrived I was incredibly excited, but the first notes on the website didn't necessarily bode well for the beautiful scent of 2016.

And unfortunately, it wasn't either:

Elixir of Life is not a bad fragrance, but it couldn't be further from the Elixir of 2016.
Overall, the fragrance is really very fresh and also green...you can clearly perceive the pear in the opening.
The fragrance is very suitable for really hot temperatures, as they have always been at Tomorrowland in recent years. For such a freshy scent, I personally find it lasts quite a long time. In the course of the fragrance, the pear says goodbye and it always remains fresh and green with a little musk.
If I had to describe the fragrance briefly: fresh-of-the-shower and perfectly unisex.
125€ for 100ml is more than okay, the bottle is definitely an eye-catcher.
Well....but not what I've wanted for so long.

But my search did have a happy ending.
Last year, I unsuspectingly tested a sample and it was precisely this fragrance that triggered feelings of happiness, which I couldn't immediately put my finger on. I was standing in the living room and my boyfriend looked at me with his eyes wide open: "It smells like Tomorrowland here!"
Yes, he was right, my sample was closer to the Elixir of Life from 2016 than any other fragrance so far and it was Vanitas
...I was given a bottle for my birthday and I'm actually looking forward to Elixir of Life from 2024 this summer

The (magical) perfection in a bottle
At first, I wanted to write a statement, but no matter how many times I rewrote it: 140 characters simply do not do this fragrance justice.

Blanche Bête is a 100 out of 10 for me.
Do you know that feeling? You meet someone and you feel like you've known them forever? That’s how I felt about this fragrance. It was love-at-first-sniff, but at first, I thought: "does it just remind me of another scent?" Maybe an adult version of my signature since 2006 Kenzo Amour? Sure, one could say they share a light rice pudding vibe, but Blanche Bête has so much more.
It is strong yet gentle. Present, but reserved. Quiet yet somehow loud.

For some, it may only smell like coconut; I completely understand where that association comes from. At a birthday party, a friend was eager to know the name of the scented candle, only to find out it was an ordinary candle that smelled like Blanche Bête.
But I smell so much more: the creaminess, the subtle tuberose, vanilla and tonka, and a minimal incense note...everything is just perfectly balanced.

The scent feels like coming home, feeling absolutely secure, yet at the same time, it gives me a certain strength. It touches me in a way that only a few fragrances have managed to do so far.

I have always said I would never spend over €200 for a perfume, but Blanche Bête is (for me) worth every cent; the longevity and sillage are wonderful without being overwhelming.

Hats off to Louise Turner, you have created a masterpiece:
Blanche Bête is like a unicorn, simply MAGICAL.

♡Amour♡ or: The love that never dies
If you regularly visit the forum and read something about Kenzo Amour, these comments are probably 80% from me :-) I think it’s time for me to write a review about it.

It was 2006, I had just gotten over the fact that Naomagic was no longer available, I consoled myself with "Glow | Jennifer Lopez," and the Dior Addict (2002) Eau de Parfum (the most beautiful version of the scent) was in my collection when I went to Douglas (back then it was still a challenge, I was so young and the ladies there were somehow intimidating). There I saw these strange bottles (at that time, each size had a different color).
I took 'this vase' from the shelf and behind me a voice said: "The fragrance is brand new!" I managed to let out a shy "Oh." The saleswoman was very nice and sprayed it on me, and I remember it like it was today, I was HEAD OVER HEELS! I loved it so much that I bought it immediately.
And since then, it has accompanied me through my life.

With Amour, I spent the most beautiful summers; I took it with me on my first vacations to Tenerife, South France, and Paris. In winter, it gave me warmth and security. It accompanied me through my first relationship and also through my first real heartbreak. With Amour, I stayed up all night under the motto "Dance like nobody is watching," and everyone who knew me also knew Amour.

Okay, okay, enough about that, I think everyone understands why this fragrance means so much to me, but why do I find it so good?

Well, in my eyes, Amour is a CROWDPLEASER that always fits; this vanilla and the rice steam (which I actually perceive) make it sweetly lovely, but not to the point of being unbearable. And still, I think you can definitely wear it all year round. It’s not a beast, but it is definitely noticed by others. Heliotrope and cherry blossom give it a minimal floral touch but rather the right dose of beautiful powderiness.

Over the years, I have come to know so many great perfumes, and surely there are more exciting, more individual, and more special scents, but for me, Kenzo Amour is the fragrance that will always have a place in my heart:

♡...because it is love♡

La Belle vs. Le Parfum
This is my 1st review :-)

At first, I had the regular La Belle and pondered for a long time whether I really needed Le Parfum. Anyone who already has La Belle will surely love Le Parfum, but both are definitely similar.

The 'original' is loud and sweet and has a woody/oriental scent due to the vetiver in the drydown. Like the loud little rebellious sister.

Le Parfum, on the other hand, is deeper; the pear comes out almost like a dark cherry, and the tonka bean makes it less sweet but softer.

If you are not an absolute perfume junkie, you certainly don't need both, but I am very glad to have them.
La Belle can be worn anytime (except maybe in the height of summer...and of course if you like sweet scents!!!),
La Belle Le Parfum is more suited for autumn (but it is still not an overwhelming/heavy scent)

So what is my favorite? If I had to choose, I would prefer La Belle Le Parfum, but the perfect La Belle for me is the mix of both...I loooove to layer them♡

I hope I could make someone's decision easier ;-)
