Classics Reinterpreted: The Five New Extraits de Parfum From Dior
Under the direction of creative director Francis Kurkdjian the luxury brand Dior is expanding its "La Collection Privée" with five intense reinterpretations of iconic fragrances.
Creating the Esprits de Parfum was an opportunity for me to pay tribute to the iconic fragrances of La Collection Privée. I defined a clear olfactory line and narrative for each fragrance, which allowed me to rework the architecture of each composition with simplicity and radicalism. The Esprits de Parfum are like the canvas before the final masterpiece: they are the quintessence.

For the new Extraits de Parfum, the perfumer Francis Kurkdjian has combined the essences of the Eaux de Parfum "Ambre Nuit" (2009), "Oud Ispahan" (2012), "Gris Dior" (2013), "Lucky" (2017) and "Rouge Trafalgar" (2020) reinterpreted and enriched with more intense, deeper nuances. The result: Five highly concentrated unisex fragrances that promise new, intense fragrance experiences.
Ambre Nuit - A mystical adventure in the dark
The fragrance notes of Ambre Nuit Esprit de Parfum invite you on an adventure into the shadows of a moonless night.
Dior
The composition of "Ambre Nuit" combines delicate notes of musk with a spicy accord that is carried by a powerful combination of cinnamon and cardamom. An amber nuance rounds off the fragrance profile and reinforces the characteristic signature of the 2009 eau de parfum.
Oud Ispahan - A dance of woody and spicy nuances
A captivating sillage that invites you on a journey into the world of One Thousand and One Nights.
Dior
The fragrance journey of "Oud Ispahan" combines warm, spicy clove and cumin notes with honey-like rose nuances and woody oud tones to create a composition that is both delicate and opulent.
Gris Dior - An intense chypre fragrance with dark facets
For its Esprit de Parfum, Gris Dior immerses itself in a shadowy shimmer. His chypre fragrance is more intense and reveals a dark personality.
Dior
The composition of "Gris Dior" blends deep notes of dark woods, Atlas cedar and Indonesian patchouli with a warm amber accord. This is complemented by a fresh violet accord and velvety notes of Bulgarian rose, which lend the blend a floral depth.
Lucky - A dark ode to the lily of the valley
Its floral facets are accentuated with elegance and underlined by a woody leather accord that supports the promise of intense sillage. The originally wet and fresh floral bouquet thus becomes dark and dense.
Dior
Dior describes "Lucky"as a floral fragrance of happiness, inspired by Christian Dior's lucky star. To give the original bouquet more depth and intensity, the floral facets of lily of the valley have been enhanced in the composition and underlaid with a warm, woody leather accord.
Rouge Trafalgar - A fusion of gourmand notes and red fruits
The delicate, crimson shade of Rouge Trafalgar turns red, even redder, like a ripe, plump cherry.
Dior
An intense homage to the opulent abundance of sweet red fruits "Rouge Trafalgar" combines a sensual floral bouquet of Turkish and Bulgarian roses with sweet gourmand aromas, enhanced by the spicy heat of pink pepper.
