Woody Depth: "Bvlgari Man Wood Essence Parfum" by Bvlgari

The Italian label Bvlgari is expanding its "Bvlgari Man" fragrance line for men with the new scent "Bvlgari Man Wood Essence Parfum," inspired by the power and depth of wood.

The wood, which sinks its roots deep into the ground, reveals its dark, mysterious grain. The intense accord of woody notes—including patchouli, cedarwood, and guaiac wood—creates a sophisticated amber fragrance that exudes an elegant aura of masculinity.

Bvlgari

The opening notes are coriander and Sichuan pepper, which lend the composition an aromatic, spicy freshness with a slight sharpness. At the heart, cashmere wood and cypress meet. The woods bring a dry, resinous facet and combine with the green, aromatic note of cypress. The base of guaiac wood, patchouli, vetiver, and cedarwood finally gives the composition depth and emphasizes the woody character with earthy and slightly smoky nuances.

"Bvlgari Man Wood Essence Parfum" was created by Alberto Morillas in collaboration with the fragrance company DSM-Firmenich.

Nature inspiration in flacon design

The bottle also visually reflects the wood inspiration: the dark brown glass base transitions into a lighter shade towards the top, resembling natural wood grain. The design is completed by a dark, removable cap. This cap features a circular aluminum ring engraved with the logo—according to the brand, a reference to the cycle of nature.

A new chapter in the Bvlgari Man collection

"Bvlgari Man Wood Essence Parfum" is a variation of the 2018 Eau de Parfum "Bvlgari Man Wood Essence" from 2018. While the original eau de parfum opens with fresh citrus and coriander notes and is characterized by a clear cypress and cedarwood signature, the perfume version focuses more on darker, warmer wood nuances with patchouli, cedar, and guaiac wood accords.

Both fragrances belong to the "Bvlgari Man" collection, a line of men's fragrances in which various elements of nature—fire, wood, air, earth, and water—are interpreted olfactorily.

A well-known representative of the series is "Bvlgari Man In Black," an homage to the element of fire, which works with spicy, leathery, and warm notes. With "Bvlgari Man Rain Essence," on the other hand, the brand captures the freshness of rain—a composition with woody and musky accents.

The new fragrance is available in 60 and 100 ml bottles.
