Grassy burst to herbal comfort
Guerlain's Vetiver holds a special place in my fragrance collection. It's the scent that I've owned the longest, and I'm still not bored by it, a testament to it's enduring appeal.

The opening is quite bold, a burst of greenness that evokes freshly cut grass but also a bit of hay. The carnation adds a spicy touch, reminiscent of clove. After the drydown, the grassy notes remain, but they soften, transitioning into a calming herbal scent with a hint of citrus.

The longevity on my skin is quite good, lasting a good 6 hours. The sillage is okay, nothing spectacular.

Vetiver is a masterclass in balance. It's bold yet sophisticated, refreshing yet comforting.

Unexpected Love
I wanted to bash it because of the hype and the price, but it turns out I love it. It's light, airy, playful, and sweet, but not too sweet. A great all-rounder that's perfectly balanced. It really shines if you spray a bit on your clothing as well.

This is probably the summer fragrance for you if you don't like the usual citrus bombs, rum coconuts, or suntan lotion smells.

About the price: yup, it's expensive. However, it was created by an in-house master perfumer. Does it really matter that it's a "designer" fragrance? In the end, they're just labels.

If you love it and you have the money to spend, go for it.

Minty Fresh to Muscle Rub
The opening is very minty and fresh. An icecold can of lemon soda with a pack of gum. I also get the references to a mojito.

However, after the drydown, when the herbs kick in, the combo of mint and herbs reminds me of those creams and gels you use for a muscle ache.

It's a scent that I enjoy, but not really one that I'm looking for in a fragrance.
